“Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind.”
~ John F. Kennedy
By Catherine Austin Fitts
Former CIA Director George H. W. Bush was quoted recently as saying “Americans can’t handle the truth.” We disagree. The Solari Report team knows you can handle the truth. In our next Solari Report, we offer you a powerful discussion with one of the most courageous truth-tellers in our midst as he explains one of the most important truths to help you understand how the world works today.
David Talbot is the founder, former CEO and editor-in-chief of Salon magazine. Since leaving Salon, he has continued writing and publishing most notably on the Kennedy administration and assassination. His latest book, The Devil’s Chessboard, a biography of CIA Director Allen Dulles, was published in 2015, seven years after Talbot published Brothers: The Hidden History of the Kennedy Years.
Who arranged the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas in 1963? Was it a lone gunman? Was it the Russians? Was it Fidel Castro? How about the Mob? Every lame explanation of that day has ultimately failed.
It was the Establishment that killed Kennedy — with Allen Dulles and the CIA at the very heart of organizing, executing and covering up the assassination. The conspiracy involved the full breadth of the “deep state” — segments of the military, the FBI, the Secret Service (and their boss, the Secretary of the Treasury) and the banking and investment centers in New York and Boston. It was financed with taxpayers resources. The America people picked up the bill.
Once you digest the facts that Talbot lays out, you will never look at the US Establishment in quite the same way. Indeed, I asked one of my most astute allies to read the book. Weeks after finishing it he remarked, “You know, I look at the world differently now.” To which I responded, “Why, you already knew that the Establishment killed Kennedy.” He replied, “It is one thing to believe it. It is quite another to finally learn the facts.”
In Let’s Go to the Movies, I will review The Good Shepard, a fictional account of the birth and growth of CIA counterintelligence. It tells the story of the culture and mentality that fostered the covert side of our world.

Fine interview, as always. But I feel compelled to comment on the way you posed your question about what was wrong with Allen Dulles: “Pathology: the thing I’ve tried so hard to understand… We have a human being who appears devoid of any kind of empathy… Does he have Asperger’s Syndrome? Is he basically a psychopath or a sociopath…?”
A search on “asperger’s syndrome and empathy” will yield a wealth of information that might help people avoid confusing Aspergers with psychopathy of sociopathy – a mistake that is too often made, and very hurtful to people with the condition and their families. I’ll sum it up here, as I understand the issue. The misunderstanding about the way in which people with Asperger’s Syndrome tend to “lack empathy” comes from two directions mainly, I think.
First, a number of young male shooters have recently been characterized by news media chiefly as having Asperger’s Syndrome when in fact that condition was not what made them violent: “Experts are clear that Asperger’s doesn’t make a person more likely to commit a violent crime [though] some say it may affect the way a crime is carried out.” (Webmd.com)
Second, there is a problem with the meaning of the word “empathy.” As a psychologist on webmd.com put it,
“Why is a lack of empathy so frequently associated with Asperger’s? It has to do with the definition of empathy….In a nutshell, people with Asperger’s Syndrome have more difficulty than the average person with the first part of empathy—seeing the world from someone else’s perspective. The second part, caring about what someone else feels is as developed and present as anyone else.” ( http://www.kennethrobersonphd.com/aspergers-syndrome-problem-empathy/ )
Yes, “caring about what someone feels is as developed and present as anyone else.” In fact, if you ask them (or look at their lives) you’ll find that people with Asperger’s often say they have a problem with “too much empathy” of the “feeling” kind: “As posited by Henry and Kamila Markram of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, the theory suggests that the fundamental problem in autism-spectrum disorders is not a social deficiency but, rather, a hypersensitivity to experience, which includes an overwhelming fear response.” (quoted from https://seventhvoice.wordpress.com/2013/11/16/new-study-finds-that-individuals-with-aspergers-syndrome-dont-lack-empathy-in-fact-if-anything-they-empathize-too-much/ )
There’s a lot more to it, but in short, Asperger’s does not make people more likely to commit a violent crime — or become a Nazi, Director of the CIA, or minion of Mr. Global, for that matter — and there is absolutely no reason to link those conditions. It’s a complex situation since we only have one word (empathy) for a myriad of behaviors and situations, but then, handling complexity well is a large part of what makes Solari Report valuable to me, and why I keep renewing my subscription. Thank you for your work.
Excellent points. I very much appreciate your posting. The secret societies used to have a ceremony called “turn your heart to stone.” There is a long term conditioning designed to create people who can handle and perpetuate large amounts of violence – of the kind that contributes to creating Asperger’s. So perhaps I had it backwards.
That’s interesting – I hadn’t heard of “heart of stone” conditioning. Still, I would stress that as I understand the term is intended to be used, Asperger’s is not a created condition. The term simply is an umbrella for a number of qualities of neurological functioning that some (perhaps most) people are born with in varying degrees.
However, it might be easier to “break” someone with hypersensitivity and too much empathy, and turn them into a shooter. Even violent video games might do that to male Aspies, especially. Male and female people “on the spectrum” tend to manifest very differently and you really can’t generalize from the term to the individual, in my opinion. Thanks again.
I cannot access the “Topics” from this excellent interview — the “circle” which allows me to hyperlink to the “Intro,” “Theme”, etc. doesn’t appear. It’s so darn good I just have to listen to the entire show! Thanks. Sandy
YIKES! Sorry about that. We will fix.
Greetings Catherine
Enjoyed the interview. I have shared a couple of comments with you about Zapruder and the symbol of the eternal flame. I have two other thoughts as I thinking out loud. It was a really big deal that Kennedy was the first Catholic President in 1960 and I’m sure that put a smile on the Vatican’s face. I have to wonder before this ‘dark team” deed took place in Dallas if the Pope knew of the plan beforehand? Also is there any significance for LBJ having Judge Sarah Hughes swear him in using a Roman Missal?
Keep shining your light Catherine & have a safe and enjoyable trip to Austrailia.
Good question as to whether or not the Vatican knew. However, I would say that after being set up to take the full fall on the Pedophilia scandals, the Devils Chessboard is a clean shot back at the senior layer of the network that got them good on it.
If the Vatican knew beforehand may be answered by Father Malachi Martin’s “Windswept House”.
Hello Catherine:
Excellent interview. I feel reassured knowing the USA still has investigative journalists like David Talbot who are willing to write the
truth. Thank you for introducing your subscribers to his work. He is a treasure.
Remarkable man; remarkable book. I am so glad we were able to have him on the Solari Report. I am still digesting.
