The Solari Report 2014-10-30

“Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done.” ~ Robert A. Heinlein

By Catherine Austin Fitts

Every day we see new announcements about breakthroughs in science and technology in numerous areas. Fusion. Robotics. Nanotechnology. Teleportation. The list is growing.

This week, Dr. Joseph Farrell of Giza Death Star will join me for his quarterly Solari Report. We are going to engage in some “high octane speculation” about the most important scientific and engineering developments underway. What are the ones that are most important to you and me? What will the impact be on our culture, geopolitics and investment in the 21st Century?

You don’t want to miss this one. This discussion will help you understand why I say that the changes over the last ten years are just the beginning. Strap in!

It’s the last week of the month so no Money & Markets.

In Let’s Go to the Movies, I will review Snowpiercer, the recent apocalyptic thriller about a group of humans surviving in an ice age traveling around the Earth on a train. More than gruesome, the speech given by Ed Harris for the last twenty minutes is one of the most remarkable descriptions of our existing governance system ever created and the ending eloquently speaks to real solutions.

Talk to you Thursday!

  1. Utterly facinating, as usual.!
The name of the architect , believe it of not was Paolo Solari! !!! His base was in Prescott, Arizona and he developed, as Dr Farrell said, communities known as Arcology(s). I saw a show of his at the Whitney Museum in N.Y. sometine in the early 70’s. There were many ,I believe, plexiglass models of these futuristic cities. I cant remember terribly well, as my friend and I had smoked pot beforehand, as was customary in those those days. It was, however a very “far out” and memorable show!
I am amazed Dr. Farrell, with his massive grey matter, didnt remember the name “Solari”!. When I first found “the Solari Report” I thought of Paolo Solari— thought there is no connection.

  2. Dear Catherine,

Since you will be discussing technology with dr. Farrell this week, could you please comment on new initiative from EU called FIWARE accelerator program for SME’s and start-ups that is worth 80 million Euro. Apparently those participant and their ideas that will get chosen, will be given up to 150.000 Euro, depending on the project, equity-free. The only thing that appears to be obligatory is use of FIWARE platform, which is described as something that should speed up apps building. I am wondering what your thoughts about this are and could this platform and the whole program be the way to harvest best ideas and have them already from the start with a platform built-in that could enable maybe data harvesting and different types of control? Interestingly the categories are agriculture, energy, industry and logistics, media, health, transport, smart cities and education.

    Thank you for your comments,
    Tea
