By Catherine Austin Fitts

This week on the Solari Report, I will present a live seminar called “Unpacking Your Financial Ecosystem.” I will begin at Midnight GMT, 8pm EDT, 7pm CDT, 6pm MDT, 5pm PDT, 8am HKT, 11am AEDT. My presentation will take an hour – questions will add up to another hour, for a total time of up to 2 hours.

I will introduce steps you can take to identify and understand the local, state, corporate and foundation financial flows and assets that impact your finances and local economy. I will focus on US examples. If you are a citizen of another developed country, you should be able to extrapolate information about financial flows and assets within your own national, regional, and municipal jurisdictions.

If you are attending live, make sure you are logged in and able to post in the comment section of this commentary. I would encourage you to post notes, comments, and questions as we proceed.

We will post access information to our webinar URL for subscribers on Thursday morning so make sure to login and check the subscriber links. The audio, referenced links and notes will be included in the subscriber section of this commentary by late Thursday night or Friday.

In Money & Markets this week I will discuss the latest in financial and geopolitical news. Make sure to post or send your questions to Ask Catherine.

In Let’s Go to the Movies, I will review Hidden Figures about three brilliant African-American women who worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the 1950’s Space Race and the successful NASA effort to send John Glenn into earth orbit. It is an inspiring, entertaining cinematic depiction of the importance of meritocracy if we wish to achieve excellence, and to accomplish “the impossible.”

We can all use a refreshing reminder of what can happen in America when we strive for greatness and when excellence and performance determine our leadership rather than criminality.

Talk to you Thursday!

  1. The subscriber resources for Unpacking Your Financial Ecosystem are not available. Why is it not accessible?

  2. Hi Catherine

Great talk. I was looking at the chart of unfunded liabilities and wonder why you used this to choose good states (e.g. TN). The graph shows states like NY, CA, MD coming off pretty well when it seems like these would have quite some other issues.

    1. Yes, I appreciate that this is not the only issue going on. One of the challenges is that these charts depend on the published statements of each state when the quality varies. I find it takes a very extensive review of issues to determine best state for any individual person and family We once had a investment club that decided to do it for a mythical composite family that had 1MM in cash, was currently homeless and willing to move anywhere in the world. It took many weeks to sort through all the issues and pick a state. One of the members than moved to the chosen place – Asheville, North Carolina.

      1. Supposedly it’s in Beta. Based on your assessment, what else needs to be included to give it real value?

        1. Good heavens! To answer that questions properly would take scores of hours. The next time I spend time on it, I will see if I can give some summary feedback. Question is whether you can “see” the flow for the area in which you live and work. Can you?

  3. Also check out what Weston Price and their affiliate the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund has done on this.

  4. I would like to see the removal of pasturized and homogenized milk removed as a requirement so that we can start drinking whole milk without the govt. curtailment. How would you approach this?

    1. Get the state laws changed to allow for exceptions to be made on local marketing subject to certain conditions. Check out the last months Moneychanger interview with Senator Frank Nicely – he is an organic farmer who has been doing great things in the TN legislature.

  5. This woman is right! The local governments don’t know what this is about. Rhode Island knows about Creative Economy but honestly that only holds up so long as there is money to be spent on The Arts.

  6. What good does it do to comment? I sent a comment to you about the Economic Stabilization Fund and no feedback whatsoever

    1. Polly:

Did you e-mail to Ask Catherine or did you post at the commentary? As far as I know I have responded to All questions. I will check the commentary.

      Catherine

      1. Polly:

I just checked the ESF commentary – you did not post a question there. I have checked Ask Catherine questions and don’t find anything. I apologize if we missed. Can you resend or post the ESF question and let me know how you posted or e-mailed originally.

Unpacking Your Financial Ecosystem will be a live webinar – my hope is that I can answer questions and you have a chance to interactively ask follow up questions. If questions remain at the end, I will try to answer them in text form on the commentary.

Again, my apologies for not answering your ESF question yet!
