“When you turn trillions of equity investment, the question is whether or not you get a positive return to investors and taxpayers. You need to get a positive return on BOTH.” ~Catherine Austin Fitts
By Catherine Austin Fitts
For those sending questions about the Trump Transition, I covered the key Cabinet picks – including Treasury, Commerce and State – and the major risks ahead on last week’s Money and Markets on the Solari Report.
Your response was so that I invited Dr. Joseph Farrell to join me for a discussion of the Trump Transition. We will publish this special interview on Thursday.
Items in our discussion include:
- The Economic Team: Mnuchin at Treasury; Ross at Commerce.
- Military and Enforcement: Mattis at Defense, Flynn as NSA, and Sessions at DOJ.
- Winners and Losers, and why Goldman Sachs stock is leading the market. Is the team that engineered the financial coup d’etat going now to engineer the second leg of a financial round trip? Why are the stocks of gun companies getting hammered?
- Differentiating Between US Oligarchs: Pigs, Scardey Cats and Titanic Turners.
- State Department Contenders: Looking for candidates in the Mormon and oil and gas intelligence and investment networks vs. Guliani’s loyalty and contributions to the team. Will a dark horse be the solution?
- The Pence-Prebius-Ryan-McConnell juggernaut – can it make tax reform real?
- Why the WSJ Idea for Gingrich is brilliant.
- Carson at HUD – good idea or not? What are the chances that the Democrats block Dr. Carson’s nomination in the Senate confirmation?
- Total Economic Returns – Positive return on investment to investors and taxpayers? More on the productivity backlash and the turn in the bond market.
- Outlook for Obamacare and Common Core.
- The Democrats – What’s Next?
- The Globalists – spillover in Europe, the war on cash, and the upcoming gathering at Davos during the inauguration.
- Call to Taiwan and South Sea Politics – is this why Xi Jinping is going to Davos?
- The Fake News bru-ha-ha, recounts, toll boothers, and cultural bubbles – the noise and drama and what it means in terms of real power and money.
- Free and Independent Media – Pulling together an open-source discussion to create a more detailed vision for Make America Great Again and to ensure real legal and financial performance and accountability.
- What’s the action for you and me?
This discussion is highly recommended for subscribers interested in upcoming changes in economic policy and the impact on financial markets in 2017.

Thank you! if you have time, listen to the follow up – Can We Make America Great Again with Rappoport.
We are going to keep tracking the process of whether or not we can turn/how we turn a negative return on investment to taxpayers positive.

I’ll have to check out Intelligence, but as a side note, excellent shows get abruptly cancelled for numerous reasons regardless of subject matter. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years and television is a special beast. Complex high quality one hour dramas shot on location are excruciatingly difficult to produce and oftentimes the creative team implodes under the budget/schedule pressure or from studio execs meddling with the scripts. Sometimes the creative team pushes the production team to the brink of insanity and the ratings/advertising revenue aren’t driving sufficient profit margins. At costs ranging anywhere from $1- $10 million per episode there had better be a profitable justification. But if the Carlyle group has a stake in the Canadian studios/networks, a shut down for political reasons makes perfect sense.
What did one brain surgeon say to the other? “Relax, it’s not a TV show.”
Maybe Trump should have appointed Les Moonves to run HUD.
Yes, I agree. However the timing of the cancellation just when they were moving above the intelligence agencies into the buyout firms and the abruptness tell me that content was in the mix.
Erin:
One other comment. The way I backed into the drug business was figuring out how communities could get rich backing the drugs out of a neighborhood and was prototyping it. Turns out the way to find the thing destroying health is to figure out how do create health. As you create health, the battle begins. I was looking to pay people $10 plus health care plus equity options to learn data servicing and work within their residential neighborhood. Two problems – that bought almost everyone out of dealing drugs. And as they learned the software systems and worked on financial data they started to understand how the money worked on their neighborhood. Meantime, lots of people inside and outside the community were learning how to make money cleaning up the neighborhood.
Big problem for narco dollars.
So they came after me. And I decided to fight. Which meant I had to figure out why HUD had become the “candy store of covert revenues.”
Actually, before I was from Wall Street, I grew up on the streets of West Philadelphia and saw quite a lot before I got to Wall Street.
Among other things, I believe that my mother was assassinated by similar networks to those which destroyed Hamilton Securities.
Story here: https://solari.com/blog/meditation-at-the-crossroads/
During the litigation, whenever Washington would do something particularly evil or lawless to me, i would dish one out on them. The story of my Mother’s death was dished out at one of their most outrageous contraventions of the law.
I’m sorry to hear about the untimely death of your mother. I can only imagine how disillusioned and angry she must have been as she began to unravel the evil at the upper echelons of society, and it certainly looks as if she got too close to the fire. Your family was clearly witness to the “white flight” phenomenon that occurred in northeastern cities as defense and commodities manufacturing left and the drug trade took over. I was born a month after your mom passed and am a child of the 90’s. I had the privelage of attending inner city public schools in New Haven during the height of the repercussions of the previous era. Almost every boy I went to high school with had, at some point, sold drugs. The ones who didn’t were the exception to the rule. My friends and I attended many funerals. Most people don’t think of Connecticut as a deeply corrupted state but I believe it to be second perhaps only to New Jersey. Earlier this year I started following Wolfgang Halbig’s research on Sandy Hook and after listening to him rail against the system in Connecticut for the umpteenth time I finally gave him a call to fill him in. I told him the entire government of that state fell to organized crime 40 years ago and that if the federal government wanted to pull off the deception of the century then Connecticut was the place to do it. I warned him he’d grasped the the tail of the dragon. About a month or so after our conversation, his family was threatened and he shut down his website. He doesn’t intend to give up and I think he’s the right person for the job but I pray for his protection regularly. There are good people who want to help him but they are justifiably afraid.
Did you watch the HBO show “The Wire” when it aired? I highly recommend it. The episode “Hamsterdam” is absolutely brilliant and depicts what happens when a rouge cop decides to legalize the drug trade in a small area of Baltimore. The series as a whole is a near perfect portrayal of the intersection of drugs, politics and society in Northeastern cities.
Yes, I spoke a lot about the Wire and recommended/reviewed it along with the show from Canada called Intelligence. The Wire took you from the street level through the police and Intelligence took you from the police through the intelligence agencies. They tried to take you up through the Carlyle group – that is when they got shut down mid season. The Godfather movies series plus the Wire plus Intelligence plus Le Femme Nikita will teach you more about the economy than I learned in business school.
LMAO! The “Joe Pesci” money indeed. Trump doesn’t quite make the cut for the Blue Blood WASP club. As someone of both Italian and English decent who grew up in Connecticut I am keenly aware of the nuances of this power divide. The WASPs are no doubt as apoplectic at his success as they were when Joe “bootleg” Kennedy’s son took the Whitehouse. But your analogy of software/hardware money is very telling – these two groups, as in the tech industry, are interdependant, but head towards the same goal from two different perspectives. One of the reasons I am an avid reader of your blog is because you are one of the few people who understands how the drug trade permeates society and the government. When I first discovered your blog I thought to myself “well look at this nice lady from Wall Street who figured out how shit really works!”
The hardware pigs will only cut the middle class in if its good for them too, which I’m guessing they’ve realized is what needs to be done lest the current insanity drives the whole shebang off the cliff. But if we want *real* change, we must collectively come to the conclusion that we can only elect representatives with high integrity and a devout regard for civil service.
Yes, indeed. The audio for the Rappoport interview will be published tomorrow. It is all about policing the Pigs and what happens if they go out of control.
This was an excellent discussion. One of the points that stood out for me was regarding Trump as the candidate representing an older faction of the deep state. In my humble opinion this is absolutely true. It is not possible to be successful in Manhattan real estate without dealing with the mafia, as they have complete control over the construction unions as well as deep ties to the casino business. This doesn’t mean Trump is an organized crime boss, it just means he was successful conducting business with this power structure. His good friend Guliani only went after the undisciplined low hanging fruit in terms of prosecuting organized crime. The smart ones have “legitimized” themselves, keep a low profile, and have friends in all the right places. Trump has also seen lasting success in Hollywood, a rare accomplishment within another old power structure that commands a great deal of international pull. People who are successful producers in the entertainment business have a keen understanding about how to build team chemistry to guarantee results. On an esoteric note, Trump is a Gemini, and the defining characteristic of this sign is the “two opposing faces”. Trump faces the public as the Strongman, and the private as the Negotiator. The other defining characteristic of Gemini is the urge to acquire, retain, and disseminate information. Trump can rapidly learn everything about a subject and communicate effectively. Trump has a unique cross section of contacts and experience and I would be surprised if he makes the ignorant and dangerous move of blindly attacking the existing power structure. He was never an “outsider” but that doesn’t necessarily mean he is bought and paid for or has evil intent, just that knows how the play the game. We always have the option to fire him in four years if we aren’t happy!
correction: *just that he knows how to play the game
Erin;
Thanks for these great comments. If you look at the clip from the Good Shepard that I have up, my guess is that Trump has attracted the “Joe Pesci” money. This is the Deep State equivalent of the software guys vs. the hardware guys. The hardware guys understand they are spread to think and need to maintain a strong base. Question is will they cut the middle class in for the deal. I believe Trump is sincere, but there are plenty of pigs looking to simply rape and pillage.

I don’t think this was mentioned regarding switching out Christie for Pence: http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/16/politics/trump-transition-jared-kushner-chris-christie/
William:
I have read that story several times and does not ring true. Yes, Kushner has reasons to want Christie out. However, if you look at the team that Christie brought in, it was not the A team. Pence is the logical person to manage it for Trump and every since he switched in Trump, Pence and the transition team have been focused on bringing, interviewing and vetting the A Team from the conservative rolodex. So this was much bigger and much more compelling that simply Christie’s history with Kushner.
Anyone who would nominate Mattis or Tillerson is looking for people who can command significant respect on the world stage from Day One. Someone like Mattis is feared by our enemies and deeply respected by the line Military. That is what Trump is primarily looking for. But to do that you need people with deep, deep knowledge about the process of vetting people and nominees for Senate confirmed positions. That is Pence – Christie does not have that federal government and Congressional history nor command the future status of Pence.
My two cents is the switch would have happened even if Kushner had not been involved.
Thank you!
