This is a worthy rendition of an all-time favorite. I have it on the original vinyl. The album jacket does not credit the musical performers. An artifact of trumphalism at perhaps the visible peak of Empire.
I was told by a Danish friend this summer when I was in Switzerland that the Danes love all things American. If you want The Eagle – one of my favorite Danish TV series – seems they have a more discerning eye for America.
I meant, of course, ‘triumphalism,’ but was typing on an ever-helpful tablet. I wouldn’t even recognize the legitimacy of the word ‘trumphalism.’
