"The pace of development of modern technologies and the linear development of human mentality are in dramatic conflict. Everything has to be restored to balance. All the rest is a consequence of this main conflict." ~Herman Gref

By Catherine Austin Fitts

This week on The Solari Report, the Saker returns to continue our discussion of the emerging multipolar world. Our focus is on Russia and Russia's relationships with other oil producers and countries throughout the emerging markets who have been part of the efforts to "de-dollarize."

The global shutdown of the economy since March has significantly reduced global trade and demand for oil and gas—Russia's largest export. Drops in income are painful for everyone. Russia is in a unique position, however, having a low level of debt and having made significant investments to build a more resilient food supply and economy since being targeted by U.S. sanctions.

The Saker and I discuss the impact of current events on Russia's role in hot spots such as Ukraine and Venezuela. We also touch on recent NATO military exercises, consider how Moscow has received the latest revelations in General Flynn's case, and discuss the shift in U.S. scapegoating from Russia to China.

Our discussion reminds me again how much people everywhere struggle with the yoke of oppression. The "one percent" are sure not with us, but the rest of us indeed are in this together.

In Let's Go to the Movies this week, I recommend Fantastic Fungi, a documentary about mycologist Paul Stamets and his lifelong quest to understand and educate us about the mighty mushroom. My great-grandfather was a mushroom farmer. This film is a reminder for the next generations that the mushroom is one of the unique gifts we enjoy on our beautiful planet.

  1. Did I hear that you thought industry would leave china for other countries – and not necessarily the US but Mexico?!! I just noticed a DVD I purchased for British TV show – was made in Mexico. If this country is completely controlled by Drug cartels – why invest in manufacturing there vs. Vermont, CT, Ohio, etc. Other parts of the U.S? Have I misunderstood that the U.S. is not a place to bring back industry?

    1. Depends on the economics. A lot is planned for Mexico as the economics are more attractive.

  2. Thinking out loud

Reagan told the Soviets to tear down this wall.
Will Trump tell the Chinese to tear down their firewall?

For several decades the U.S. & Soviets had an Arms Race.
Is the U.S. & China having a race to capture the arms of all humans?

Last year China had the pig virus, now they have wheat rust. Are they going to be able keep the stomachs full for the people living in China. Empty stomachs means people taking to the streets.

Now the CCP wants to clamp down on Hong Kong, snuff out its democracy and take over its assets. Before the virus outbreak young people in Hong Kong were standing up for freedom. In fact they acted more like Americans then many Americans as they were carrying the American Flag as they demonstrated in the streets. To me it was looking like a 32 degree to 33 degree event taking place when ice turns to water. But now it looks like the CCP has turned the temperature back to zero or trying to.

As documents & testimonies are finally coming to public view about the massive scandal of the attempted coup of a sitting US President another bigger scandal is starting to percolate on how China developed economically & militarily in a short period of time. Thanks for Wall Street, hedge funds, universities, lobbyists, friendly people in Congress , and stealing technology the U.S. & China have become two snakes wrapped around one another where they cannot break free. I am sure some of the US assistance was above board, but I think there was also great mischief at the expense of the American people. The bigger victims of theft are the Chinese people as their 4000 years of culture based on ethics was and is destroyed by a Communist dictatorship.

    That’s it

    1. Yup. The US and Chinese leadership got together and increased their wealth and power by ****ing their own people and country. Question is why? If you have not seen Sir James Goldsmith on Charlie Rose go watch it. It is on the Solari site as “Sir James Goldsmith’s Globalization Warning 1994” Imagine a world where the best and the brightest such as Goldsmith where our leaders instead of organized crime and their poodles. What a world it could be.

      1. Besides Jimmy Goldsmith being prognosticator he seem to be a happy guy despite being so wealthy. When he visited L.A. in the 80’s he stayed at a private residence and the times I was with him he acted like a happy go lucky guy. Or maybe it was who he was staying with that made him happy.

I think Trump is going be willing to take the hard road to confront and derail China’s dictatorship police state led by AI, robotics and 5G. It may be about a battle over social program models.

Xi may take a page from Brexit and Trump to push a Chinese Nationalist movement; another Boxer Rebellion to maintain power.

In 2019 Interfaith G-20 (religious heads meet before G-20) stated 84% of the world population has religious affiliation. Do they want it increase? https://berkleycenter.georgetown.edu/posts/the-g20-interfaith-forum-why-it-s-important

When the Soviet Union collapsed, Russia emerged with the same cast of characters, however the door to churches were open allowing open personal worship.

Is that one of the goals to force China to allow open worship?

  3. Dear Catherine,

Just finished listening to your conversation with The Saker.
I have a couple of questions. I have read and listened to many different sources these past few months on this pandemic, but I have not come to any conclusion about China and Russia. I was in Asia when Covid-19 started to break out in China.
    1) Your “Plandemic” series with Jon Rappaport states clearly that there are many motives behind Mr. Global and his insane bunch for using the “Plandemic” for a power grab in the U.S. and Europe behind frontmen like Dr. Fauci and Bill Gates who are both universally vilified for crimes against humanity.
    2) China has very long and deep relationships with WHO and Bill Gates as well as Zionist elements. In addition China has made clear that their future development lies in the direction of AI, Space and technology. Given that the pandemic and the resulting global economic destruction is enormous, do you think Putin and Xi (via CCP) are also in bed with Mr. Global 1) destroy the American middle class 2) to push Technocracy to another level for global surveillance and population control?
    3) Your comment that Mr. Global has weaponized the dollar in many ways. One of the ways is to buy out as many politicians and governments as possible. It is revealing and horrifying to see how corrupt these politicians are and can be bought during this Plandemic with their tyrannical orders, mind you not laws because they don’t have that constitutional right. They don’t need to hide it with their insincere words that they are imposing the lockdown for our own good. People are not stupid when you take away their freedom, liberty and means of providing for themselves and their family. You and The Saker are right that this group doesn’t even recognize how insane they are to think people are stupid. There is a mass awakening globally.
You mentioned also there are more powerful groups that are waking up. Do you think they can stop the insane bunch?

I also want to mention that your subscribers are very savvy and I learn much from them. Catherine – you are a treasure to the world. We are very luck to have you on the good side of this battle.

    Suk

    1. Yes to Xi being in bed with Mr Global. Putin yes on some things, less on others. Putin – like everyone globally – does not want to subsidize the Americans – all of them.

I think the insane group will stop each other – listen to the Gideon interview with Thomas Meyer. The insane ones can not govern and manage a planet. They think they can do it with AI. I just don’t see a way for it to work.

Thank you. Very much appreciate the support of you and all the subscribers that make it possible for me and our small, wonderful team of people to do what we do. Serving you is where we most want to be in the world – with a group of people who believe we can make a way in the desert and are willing to turtle forth accordingly. From Isaiah:

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

      1. Thank you Catherine. It’s an honor to be part of the Solari group and have these conversations, ask questions and put things out there in high octane speculation as Joseph Farrell describes how his wonderful mind works. I just love the breath of his knowledge and ability to connect disparate ideas. I enjoy reading his books.

  4. Dear Catherine

I have been trying to understand the plandemic in terms of science and finance. Now I am slowly beginning to understand what you and Dr Farrell have been saying, namely that this is a spiritual war and a culture war. I am also beginning to think that if Western culture is to be saved then it will be Russia and the Orthodox church that will save it.

I recently watched this documentary ‘Art of Gold’ about painting, sculpture and romance inside Russia’s most famous classical art academy where art is about form and above all beauty.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpxrY0O40Ic

Martina Abramowitz and her ilk wouldn’t even get through the front door here.

In this video I looked at the people in the audience at the ballet in Russia and in their faces I could see their deep love for beauty and art and culture.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl9uWRu0fo4

Then there is this short clip showing Russian youngsters singing the national anthem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpYmwy5tLZQ
Somehow I don’t see children like this in the West – not a tattoo or piercing in sight.

    1. St Petersburg has always been a place I very much wanted to visit and explore. Art of Gold was beautiful! Thanks.

  5. I think what saker sees as disorder is rather manufactured chaos with a coherent policy behind it. the main goal of US is simple, it’s to arrest China’s technological development esp. in 5G and computing long enough for the US and close allies to leapfrog china. once that happens, the infrastructure and data collected worldwide can feed an entire generation of new businesses as well as provide surveillance opportunities. the data collected can then become the new monopolized commodity which powers the world. and then the US has a leg up on digital currencies, and 6G and military and space and so on.

just look at the made in China 2025 plan and you will see all the industries which are in play. key are IT and computing, new materials, green vehicles & self driving cars, robotics and biotech.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Made_in_China_2025#Key_industries

the US elites don’t care if China is the world’s leader in refrigerators or car parts. they don’t care about IP transfer in pumps or cranes or shampoo recipes. the US also doesn’t care about what China does within china, as long as they play by the long established rules. such as thou shalt buy treasuries or thou shalt use microsoft Office. none of the “problems” with IP transfer, lack of market access etc. in China are new. they are decades old.

so how do you arrest China’s development? attack belt and road initiative, which passes through many Muslim countries, by suddenly making the xinjiang situation a hot point. allegations of organ harvesting have been going on for years, yet it only became an issue last year. did the US suddenly grow a conscience?

also attack the BRI by making the Chinese economy struggle at home – reduce money available for outbound investment by moving out labor intensive industries which are moving out from china anyway. reshore the key industries or spread them out among key allies ie the new friend india and Taiwan. reduce capital flows into China by destabilizing Hong kong and its markets, delisting Chinese companies from NYSE, and putting up road blocks to equity investment into Chinese markets. starve out Chinese companies by preventing key technology exports like they just did with Huawei. break the chains of industrial and scientific and academic cooperation by intimidating professors and limiting student visas. disrupt food and energy supply. demonize china abroad and make it seem like there is a true choice between a “free” or “democratic values”
5G internet and a “authoritarian” or “communist” 5G internet.

it’s a coherent multi faceted policy. gen. Robert spalding and his interviews on YouTube as well as his book stealth wars can really highlight what is going on.

the problem is, the US and allies are terribly behind in this, both from a hardware point of view and a human capital point of view. after generations of drugging and dumbing down children, how is the US going to all of a sudden become a tech leader? just look at author names on scientific research papers published in US. you need to tap foreign talent because the US alone cannot compete with a well educated, sober, and hungry Chinese Millenial generation.

on the other hand, china is extremely vulnerable to changes in external consumer demand, external capital flows, and after all is a net energy and food importer. also it cannot sell itself abroad very well. you also have a major demographic crunch coming in 2030 so if they do not achieve their 2030 high tech goals, they will be stuck with a huge productivity crash. you go to the countryside now, there are only old people working the fields. what happens when those 55 year olds turn 65-70 in 2030? these are major problems.

so you have a policy of disruption and chaos, and a race against time. a race to dominate the tech and a race against the demographic crunch.

the problems for us, the normal people, are several. first, we are in for a ten year struggle while the US tries to catch up. second, to expand the 5G IoT, you need to clamp down on civil liberties. it may be that this is a prerequisite to a true IoT economy. in their heart of hearts, the US elites envy China for its population control and salivate to duplicate it. third, the end result is not fixed. this can go either way. but as it’s an existential crisis for the US, every tool available is in play, finally, even if “we” win, what have we won? a front row seat to a technocratic universe.

    1. Your points are very well taken. Looks to me like both countries are headed in the wrong direction. Two leaderships prepared to destroy their countries so their countries can “win.” The Ziocon spirit of destruction seems to have seeped into one too many places.

  6. Any theories why the Russians place importance on the Covid virus? It gives more validation that “our cousins” might have had a hand in tinkering with the virus.
President Trump doesn’t want Covid positives in the militairy, it all must have a reason? The whole trace and tracking, building isolation camps! Your on and of switch but by whom?

If bringing back industry into the USA is not a hot item on the agenda might a hot war in space be more likely then one on terra firma? Won’t that bring friction? Will the same palms be greased as has been for years. Or is the pie shrinking again and some vultures will have a rude awakening?

  7. The reason the US will continue to do business in every country in world is that is how they place CIA assets in all the countries of the World. All of those companies have CIA assets in them.
