***CAF Note: This puts us in a very dangerous place. The message is clear. The 2014 elections were not going to go well for Mr. Global. Even rigged voting machines were going to be insufficient to handle the anger. Trade agreements have been stalled by Congressional concern facing the elections. Gun control has failed. Now the exercise of international war has been limited. The American leadership wants much greater control – to go to war, to enter into trade agreements, to institute gun control. To achieve these goals, they need to tear up the US constitution. The way to do that is to get and then hijack a constitutional convention. Now will begin a renewed push by progressive activists for a constitutional convention to institute outlaw the rights of personhood for corporations and to institute finance campaign limits. Don’t buy into it. The cure will be far worse than the problem. And, the chances of Jeb Bush now becoming president in 2016 are 80% or better.***

The Supreme Court on Wednesday continued its abolition of limits on election spending, striking down a decades-old cap on the total amount any individual can contribute to federal candidates in a two-year election cycle.
The ruling, issued near the start of a campaign season, will very likely increase the role money plays in American politics.
The 5-to-4 decision, with the court’s more conservative members in the majority, echoed Citizens United, the 2010 decision that struck down limits on independent campaign spending by corporations and unions.
