“Feeling is understanding.” ~ Wim Hof

By Ulrike Granögger

Not long ago, in one of the weekly calls led by “Doctors for Covid Ethics,” when once again the whole group was feeling the paralyzing inability to help those injured by the Covid-19 injections—one of the doctors reminded his colleagues that “therapeutic hypothermia” could be a solution, at least in some cases, to save lives.

Catherine and I had the same immediate thought: “We must get hold of Wim Hof!”

His method and his knowledge of how to access the autonomic functions of the nervous system ARE one of the solutions to the many forms of injury that the vaccines are causing, and not only on the physical level. More than that, Wim Hof’s teachings can help save lives, maintain health, create independence, and educate souls on so many other levels, helping thousands mitigate and courageously confront the devastating effects of the “global coup d’état” currently going on.

Learning the Wim Hof Method is an excellent and urgent investment into our future, our health, our freedom, and the well-being of our families.

We offer this Special Solari Report to all our subscribers (and beyond), convinced that it will benefit you for the rest of your life.

Do listen, and remember your power.

Remember what Wim Hof says: “You are stronger than you think you are.”

Book Review: The Wim Hof Method

Please note: The book’s FAQs say that the Wim Hof Method is not recommended for people with a variety of conditions, including epilepsy, high blood pressure, heart disease, or a history of serious health issues or migraines. It is also not recommended for pregnant women. If any of that describes you, you may want to read the book and speak with your physician before you consider using the method.

  1. I have been injured by the covid rules, I sold my beautiful house that I built 15 years ago, in Canada, and now live in a camper van in Mexico. You kids are the best!

  2. Wow! What an extraordinary, brilliant, Fun-loving, lovable man! I was reluctant to watch at first because of the black and white “old man” photo. He is anything BUT! Thank you for bringing Wim Hof to Solari. I had my first cold shower this morning, after having a hot shower. OMG! That was some COLD water on my back! Talk about some spontaneous deep breathing! However, I plan on it daily. I liked it, and probably will grow to love it. Will begin the breathing tomorrow morn, having practiced some already. Thank you!! Wonderful.

Here is delightful tour of his home and garden, with Wim

  3. Wonderful interview and walkthrough! Where do hot baths/showers/saunas fit in with our health? Does the heat contraindicate optimal health?

  4. This information really struck a cord with me. I do quite a lot of family ancestry research, and am investigating my family’s descent from a John McCullough, who was at Fort Henry in the Ohio Valley during the assault at Fort Henry by combined British and Indian forces in about 1782, where it may have been John or perhaps his brother Samuel McCulloch who made the famous “McCulloch’s Leap” and survived. John McCullough, with his brother James, was kidnapped by Delaware Indians as a child. James was sold by the Indians to a Frenchman (this sort of thing happened all the time), but John McCullough remained with the tribe for years before finally being ransomed by a family member when he was in his teens (also common). Toward the end of his life, John McCullough (sometimes spelled “McCulloch”) wrote a book that in part described his life as a child with the Delaware Indian tribe. I believe that the book is with one of the Ohio universities at present. I’ve read passages from John’s book, and the one that really stood out to me was John’s description of he and his brother being made to stand for periods of time, with children from the tribe, in the frigid waters of a nearby river. It was one of his first experiences with the tribe. John McCullough described this as common practice in the tribe, which he’d viewed and understood as a sort of “hardening off” of a child. as might be done with a plant. It is correct to say that this is a very old practice and was an important one for the Delaware Indians of about the year 1760.

  5. Hi Catherine, I watched the Wim Hof interview in December, then watched the 3 free mini courses. I have been practicing the breathing since 12/23 and taking a 2 minute cold shower every morning for over two weeks. I would like to get the fundamentals course now that I know I can stick with the protocol. A short time back you were offering a 50% discount on the fundamentals course- is it possible for me to still access that offer? Love and strength to you.

  6. I appreciate the introduction, praise, and round up of scientific literature behind this, but I would have had a clearer sense of what I was listening to if a specific description of the breathing and cold exposure exercises were made. Exactly how much, how often? Wim is very charming but he doesnt define this. I will now learn more from his website of course, but defining a thing prior to discussion puts things into context. Thank you!

    1. Having read the book and taken the fundamentals courses, I don’t think it works to do it in the interview. Since I am a text person, I had to read the book to really understand. Some would prefer the course. There are great apps and videos on line for free that work. Either way, the interview was designed to introduce and explain WHY you should try.

  7. This was an excellent interview. I do cold therapy but the scientific explanation has me signing up for the full experience. Thank you for a great program and website.

  8. I’m pleased to see Wim featured here. It bridges the gap between two important sources of enriching content in my life (Solari and WHM). I found Wim Hof Method (WHM) in March of 2020 right at the lockdown. Been doing cold showers, push-ups and breathing almost every day since. Living in Michigan, I now look forward to the deep freeze of winter (I’m a Florida native) because the showers are colder and my immune system seems to thrive on it. I’m 41 and on no medications – be sure to check with your ethical physician before trying the cold therapy.

The WHM iPhone app (& website) has short video vignettes of each exercise and the free course introduction is all you need to get you started. The first cold shower of 20-seconds was the hardest. Each day after that I just said to myself: This cold shower today is the hardest part of my day and if I can do this, then I can do anything.

Push-ups: WHM has various exercises that incorporate the breathing method. I started doing 20 push-ups every day following the basic breathing like Wim shows you, and kept adding more push-ups per day. Now I do more than 40 at a time with breath held out (see the video on the site or app on how to do this). Our bodies are amazing adaptive organisms and Wim Hof shows you how to connect the dots and be in your body in a practical, direct way. Cheers to Solari for selecting Wim as our hero of the year.

  9. Maybe we need polar bear clubs around the world, doing this kind of thing is better in groups.

  10. I have an intense dislike of the cold but since in all the years I have been following Catherine she hasn’t been wrong once, this morning I decided to give the cold shower routine a try. All I could manage was 10 seconds, but much to my surprise, as others have already testified, I felt fresh and invigorated afterwards. I’ll try again tomorrow and hope I’ll be able to stand it for 15 seconds.

    1. I strongly recommend you do the breathing exercises before the shower. It puts me in a very good mindset to see what my body can do in the cold.

Someone posted this at the book report. I found it very useful:

This free mini-course is all you need to get started, and arguably the most important part of the regimen: https://www.wimhofmethod.com/free-mini-class.

  11. A few minutes into the Solari Video, I realised that I had seen Wim Hof in a news item some years ago. He attempted and ran a marathon in a pair of shorts in below zero conditions.
The impression given was that science was examining a guy with an ability to function in very cold temperatures, and at the time I thought little more about it.
Now, medical text books are proven wrong, and much more needs questioned.
Thanks to Wim Hof and all at Solari.

  12. Dr. Sten Ekberg has a video called What happens during Wim Hof breathing…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-r35dBbAB8 which is pretty well done and Dr. Eric Berg covers the benefits of the Wim Hof cold shower in a video (youtube) as well….both are quite complimentary and provide some additional analysis of benefits and alternatives

  13. one of the Amazon book reviews said in back of book it warned that people on blood pressure medication should not be doing this ? Does anyone know anything about this aspect of the practice ?

    1. here is what I posted in the Book Review
      https://home.solari.com/book-review-the-wim-hof-method/

i can not imagine that the breathing exercises are a problem. It would be the cold therapy you need to investigate and get advice on.

  14. Many thanks for this incredible interview. I have tears in my eyes from all of your shining “trumpet calls” declaring the strength of our human being ness. It is certainly a beacon in the darkness generated by the Oh!-fficial narrative. I am a musician and now beekeeper having just recently taken over my German grandfather’s apiary started in 1941 in upstate NY. I was heading out to feed bees with a beautiful honey fondant, but tapped into this and was glad not to face the cold here in upstate NY. Now I will head out singing and will start being more observant about the healing qualities of cold for me and the bees. PS: The bees need a Wim Hof to assist them in their many assaults. Searching within and without! Love to all. Many thanks!!!

  15. Hahah Wim Hof is hilarious, he cracks me up ? Love this interview, thank you so much for sharing!
I have been doing morning cold showers for 4 years now, have absolutely noticed the effects on my energy and my health.
I’m very excited to implement Wim Hof’s breathing methods !

  16. Thank you both Catherine & Ulrike, excellent interview and details provided, truly timeless and invaluable!

  17. Reminded me of mammalian dive reflex. People have been known to drive off the road into a freezing river and survived when normally they would have drowned, like free divers submerge themselves hundreds of feet. Women pearl divers in Korea and Japan, and somewhere else in the world men seafood divers stay submerged for long periods of time.

Ilse Middendorf of Berlin died at the age of 98 in 2009, spent her life teaching her breathing technique, she studied breathing methods from India. Did a weekend workshop with her on her first trip to America.

Dr. Konstantin Buteyko develop his breathing method in Russia and he believed in eastern medicine, influence from Tibet, disease occurs because of diseased breathing. His practitioners are found in the UK.

I agree, the work of people like Wim Hof is important to people. I’m skeptical by how the medical field is controlled by corporate interest. Samuel Hahnemann founded homeopathy almost 300 years ago because he didn’t like the state of German medicine at the time. A deal was struck with UCSF and Otto Guttentag, the last chairman of the Hahnemann Hospitals of America, to preserve homeopathic medicine. With Otto’s passing allotropic medicine (termed by Dr. Hahnemann) rules today. It was Rockefeller’s dream to have a psychiatry school the pearl of every teaching hospital (Flexner Report), Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute is the premier in the USA.

Even Bruce Lipton, who coined epigenetics with his book “The Biology of Belief” left his research to spread the word to the people.

Something else I came across while living in San Francisco, were people who brought with them from China and Taiwan, Tai Chi and Qigong. Then there was Moshe Feldenkris who lived for awhile in Marin County.

Psycho-kinetic training is powerful breathing for good health. As Doctor Mercola says, “Take Control of Your Health”. Natural Immunity requires good nutrition, and begin the study what breathing is all about. The best way to get started is stop what you should not be doing, and start doing what you need to do. Simple as don’t just jump out of bed tomorrow, take your time and consciously think about what your going to do today as you wake up, Feldenkris was “Awareness Through Movement”.

    1. Excellent advice. So much good education is we take the time and decide to lead ourselves.

  18. Dear Catherine and Solaris team, thank you for this uplifting report. As a life long book collector I could benefit from a book offer. I am a pediatrician in rural Arizona with natural immunity who was terminated from the job for practicing medical freedom .

  19. Dear Catherine,
I have a question about Wim Hof and coherency that you believe is so important. He stroke me as being incoherent in the interview and using MF all the time and other swear words. He could not speak rationally and logically and it was painful to listen to him. He stroke me as someone who uses drugs and has a lot of beings attached as a result of it.

When you shock the physical body by extreme cold, your I leaves the body and the beings come in into an empty shell. The resulting dimmed consciousness is what creates this favorable terrain for the beings as described by Rudolf Steiner. He also advised strongly against using “yogic” breathing practices that invite Luciferic beings in and are no longer appropriate in this Epoch.

I am very interested to hear what your friend T Mayer thinks about this method and this personality.

    1. Robert,
Your lack of understanding of the the Wim Hof method doesn’t allow you to see how very much inline it is to Steiner’s refine breathing.

The first step before any cold is introduced is a cycle of rhythmic breathing which loosens Arhmanic being then cold is introduced but not shock. The body is never shocked into the cold. The cold drives out the Luciferic Beings. At the end it is the closest feeling to the I am. The body is neutralized and strong.

I suggest reading his book and learning more about the process before questioning others and questioning their intention.

    2. Another point: Wim Hof’s breathing techniques are like no Yogic Breathing Technique I have ever encountered in my 21 years teaching Hatha Yoga and Pranayama breathing from India. FYI.

  20. Solari Team
Solari Team:I cannot express my gratitude enough. I am so happy I somehow found this site. As much as I dislike the cold, my soul knows I need to do this and a host of other changes. I’m blown away by all I have read. Awakening is an understatement. Thank you

  21. Excellent interview, thank you.

I’ve been practicing the cold thermogenesis part – exposure to cold air and water – for about 5 years. I have been outdoors in air temps of -27F with wind chill of -65F dressed only in shorts with hat, gloves and boots. I picked up this practice from Dr. Jack Kruse, finding Wim Hof through Jack’s site.

In this practice, imo of course, it is critically important to assess your ability to recover from stress. If your stress recovery is non-optimal, cold exposure needs to be approached cautiously. If you are sick, and your ability to recover is less than optimal, cold exposure can make it worse. Cold exposure is_strong_medicine. Practiced injudiciously, it can harm health.

If this practice becomes something a group of Solari people decide to follow, maybe a forum could be setup on the site for discussion/sharing of experiences?

    1. Great insight and advice, Michael. We can set up a forum in the Subscriber Input forum.

      1. PS for you Catherine – cold thermogenesis on a bike. My current record is -17F, wind chill somewhere in the -60s or -70s. You have to dress for it, ie – no exposed skin – but it is certainly invigorating!

  22. This is illegal in Europe. You are not allowed to be healthy without government forced medications.

Austria is creating an task force to hunt down those who insist of being healthy by themselves. They cannot accept that Adolf was defeated.

  23. I bought Wim’s introductory course about a week before Catherine made her book offer. I grew up with a cottage on a very cold lake… I’ve always loved cold water, so that part was an easy sell. You really do look forward to the cold… it’s not only a physical but a mental exercise for sure. Thanks Ulrike and Catherine for doing this interview. Here’s the mini documentary that sparked my intrigue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaMjhwFE1Zw

  24. That photo is starkly amazing. I just love it. The photographer did a remarkable job. Congratulations!

  25. I think the snowflakes are fun — especially floating down in front of that wonderful black and white photo of Wim Hof. Very fitting.

    1. I did a screen shot of Wim Hof’s photo and a snowflake was present right at the spot a bindi would be placed. Fun.

    1. Checking on this. Will turn off over the holidays. However, I agree would be great if the user could turn them off if they did not like them

  26. WELL DONE TEAM SOLARI!
MY NEW MANTRA IN WIM’S VOICE, “FULLY IN, LETTING GO”
THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING INTERVIEW.
    BLESSINGS!
