The Rockefeller Brothers Fund is joining a coalition of philanthropists pledging to rid themselves of more than $50bn (£31bn) in fossil fuel assets.
The announcement was made on Monday, a day before the UN climate change summit opens on Tuesday.
Some 650 individuals and 180 institutions have joined the coalition.
This is just a wild guess.. I have this mental image of a black box that would produce electricity for some time period. It would be the equivalent or more expensive than Grid connected power purchased over the same period. You won’t be able to get into it and I would not be surprised if it is attached to your house, the grass around it would perish.. What ever new tech they roll out would not be for the good of the whole. It would promote centralization and dependence. Plus, there will be tax breaks to make sure the new monopoly takes off. My guess is, this theoretical technological break through would have been invented by someone who died a sudden violent death and in reality is at least 2 – 3 decades old.
Mr. Quaid:
As always, the odds are on your side.
I am still trying to figure out what this push is. One aspect is the breakthroughs in battery technologies and the cost curve down on solar panels.

Sadly true Mr. Quaid. Only thing is… the technology could be over 100 years old. Jeez some say several thousands of years old. ; )
Does this mean they may be likely to bring out some other “new” technology to replace fossil fuel energy in the near future? Interesting.
I have been thinking about this – and researching. I don’t know yet. A big hmmm….
🙂
