My! Britain’s really got talent. Apart from being quite touching to watch his little boy running onto the stage being so proud of his father, this performance by 36-year-old father of three Gamal John is absolutely stunning. Gamal was born in Trinidad and grew up in England. His own father used to sing the Calypso and singing was in the family.

This unique covering of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” left the British judges “gobsmacked” and earned him the Golden Buzzer, which directly put him into the semifinals.

Many believe, including former BGT winner Paul Potts, that Gamal John would have been a finalist but was given the wrong song to perform in the semifinals. Surely, his extraordinary voice and talent will still provide him with many opportunities for success. Wishing you all the best, Gamal!
