    1. X represent also a variable or the “unknown” towards the future. Basically, you can make X be whatever you want it to be.

      1. The symbol “X” is totally loaded. DarkJournalist has a very informative series called “The X Series” where he covers “X steganography” and in particular it’s common use by aerospace and certain parts of the military to (likely) signal others that they are “in the know” or “inspired by” the track of secret technological and military developments since the 1940s.
        IIRC, “X” is historically and esoterically a symbolic reference for “crossroads”. “Symbolically, it can mean a locality where two realms touch and therefore represents liminality, a place literally “neither here nor there”, “betwixt and between”” Esoterically it could also mean “where fantasy meets reality,” which would be especially meaningful for people working in a secret industry with access to advanced and potentially disruptive technology.
        Given the the history of Musk’s interest in “X” as a property, the name of his company SpaceX, the proximity of Musk to the aerospace industry, and the history of using “X steganography” in that industry, I think it’s entirely likely that Musk has chosen that symbology very deliberately and has been “in the know” for a very long time.

    I would say currency should have intrinsic value again to make it ‘money’. That is the part it does not have. Its paper and digits… no intrinsic value whatsoever. It’s value completely depends on factors outside the control of the average man in the street.

    Where money has intrinsic value like a precious metal, its there part of the money and can’t be manipulated as easily.
    Its also controlled by scarcity.

    I don’t like fiat currency. We’re stuck with it at the moment but my opinion is we don’t require paper and digits, totally manipulated and floating free and unconnected from the actual physical value object, to function.
    Though there would be some road to take to get us back to that.
    Back to reality.

    1. Real the history. Well governed fiat currency works better than any other kind. What we have is NOT WELL GOVERNED Fiat currency. But don’t blame the currency model for the failure of the governance model.

        I have and still do read a lot of monetary history and I must say, I’m not really impressed with fiat moneys track record. Because humans are greedy. Each time it starts off well and then eventually ends in, well being worth zero. And the gold seem to accumulate gradually centrally in the pockets of whatever ruler or bankers run the civilisation or country at that time…

        Our current system had good decades behind it (50s -90s) when people who uphold truth and trust were in charge… but I’m afraid that seems to be breaking down slowly in the West. Maybe as a result of our Western governments actively promoting demoralisation of society, and therefore truth and trust.

        But I don’t want a crisis of fiat, I just don’t have any trust in the authorities running the fiat system as they clearly play around with digits and their money printers.

        And the ordinary citizen lose out gradually without even realising what is happening to his hard earned fiat money being worth less with every year that goes by.

        1. Money is just a transaction tool. It reflects the culture and spiritual and intellectual power of the people who use it. So this starts with raising each person to be a person of character. No short cuts. Money system design can influence culture but it can not solve a cultural deficit.

    Thus, if a COUNTRY “discovers” a new pathogen, makes it public worldwide, and a COMPANY turns around and creates a booster to “fight” the new pathogen, the COUNTRY can then claim the pathogen to be a “national treasure” – a valuable commodity — and demand “shared equity” in the COMPANY’s profits.
    These parties are not discussing health; they are negotiating profits. They are, in fact, a WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION.
    QUESTION: So where does the WTO fit into all of this?

    On the Italian government’s provision on banks extra profits, as this is a government decree, it must be converted into a law within 60 days by Parliament – it was issued on August 10 – and that’s where the vetting process unfolds. Amendments to the original text have already been announced, and the Italian press suggests this may include that small local banks could be excluded from this provision. In addition, it seems that the original text of the decree suggested a retroactive application of the norm at least in some of its parts, which would not be constitutional according to the Italian legal system. Should Parliament fail to approve the decree within 60 days from its approval by government, it will automatically decay.

  14. I think the lady that asked about the farmers and fishermen was hoping you would say they are not submitting. Especially after the protest. No offense but you can explain until you are blue in the face as to the how and why. If they complain loudly then basically roll over then it is, to be polite, futile.         I’m surprised that you’d double down on this.

        The fact is that Trump was put into a double bind by the operation, which was planned with the contagion and the vaccine already prepared before anything was visible. So, if he says it has to be tested in the usual fashion, then he is castigated as killing Americans by not availing them of “the cure.” I also elected not to get the vax, because I was not forced to get it, while some of my children were, with employment in the medical and military functions. So, I have a familial vaccine exposure all my own. The forcing and exhorting, rewards and incentives were under the illegitimately ensconced Biden administration. That is a plain fact.

        You have immersed yourself in Euro- think, And Europeans, regardless of their generally wan individual accomplishments, readily despise Americans as irredeemable bumpkins. I draw your attention to the fact that Europe has been dying since World War I, and lost on both sides of the ball in both wars. The US has been propping them up ever since.           I am investing significant money, time and resources throughout 2023 in helping state and federal legislators and candidates in USA. How much money and time are you spending doing the same John?
          Trump funded Warp Speed and appointed an expert in brain machine interface to run it.
          Here is what I appreciate. about Trump:
          He exited the WHO and the Paris Agreement
          He brought more transparency in selected areas and introduced math to the national conversation
          He listened to working people and enterpreneurs and communicate their needs.
          When it came to what actually happened during his Administration he contributed to more small businesses being destroyed than any President.
          We disagree on this. Hard policy based on my experience as a US official and government contractor.
          Let argue facts and opinions. Not cheap shots. That is not like you, John. You are a good and brilliant man.

Catherine, you may rest assured that I am having this argument with you not because of disrespect but because of the urgency of convincing someone that is 99% on the same side as me but has allowed one particular matter to cloud her judgment. I don’t think I have seen any argument that rings valid that Trump was an originator or perpetrator of the genocide. The pre-engineered genocide/ economic reset was rolled out so that Trump could be unseated. Evidently, most of the Americans who, as you often say, are smart, saw through it, and came out in droves to reelect him. The people that hate us gladly molested the election and instead of taking the will of the electorate, they printed ballots and harvested votes illegally to elect a ticket of true fools and criminals, and have been covering it up ever since. I don’t know what you aren’t seeing about this.

            I’m glad to take cheap shots at Europeans who know nothing of America and decide that Trump is a bad guy because their controlled media tells them to. He fits with their general disregard for American wisdom.

They are generally not following him or the Presidential campaign other than anything that contributes to new transparency, like De Santis on CBDC or Kennedy on the border wall. Almost all my conversations about the campaigns are with Americans. Most of the Europeans I know have long standing liked America and Americans. Europeans are grappling with real problems in their daily life. Great poisoning. Shadow work. Inflation. Immigration, Interest Rates. Energy prices and availability. Financial Fraud. Crime/Safety. Sound familiar?
            Pandemic planning has been going on for decades. They tried to get the Swine Flu to go global and couldn’t – and went back to the drawing boards. The Pandemic was not to get rid of Trump. It was to implement the reset.

            Right now many Americans with sense are focused more on what is happening in their state house. Can they stop the red flag laws in TN. etc. Can they get a state bank or bullion depository> Freedom must be won at the state level.

            Meantime, got an explanation for why Trump is still bragging about the vaccine?

But if you look at the authority that he gave the military and the funding, the companies and governmental organization were able to implement mandates. Furthermore (rant #3), after my 2 years at that one community college, I went to a nearby state (77 mile commute for me each way each day) and taught another 2 years in a similar program at one of their community colleges / vo-tech. This time I was also Program Director, which bumped up my salary to pay for my gas for my commute. This time I also had high school students that were bussed to our campus at noon for a 2 hour class. Then I had adults for evening classes and oversaw 2 adjunct (part time) instructors. I enjoyed the time with my co-workers, but my dean kept throwing roadblocks to me and to other instructors to limit our teaching. Endless committee meetings which limited class planning and set-up time. He would not enforce discipline for unruly students, which detracted from teaching. And the final straw was when he declined my request to spend $2000 for 19 small industrial valves of different types and sizes. I wanted my students to have hands-on experience in what they would find in industry. I had $8000 left in my budget. This was early Feb., yet he wanted to wait until May “in case something happened and needed the money”. But May starts Final Exams, so too late for these valves to be of use this semester. Also, he had previously spent $9000 on 24 laptops that I did NOT request, nor even knew about until the day they arrived. And I was Program Director. In name only, it appears. Yet I had only 12 students during the day and 9 at night. I had 5 desktop computers and 3 laptops already, so what was I going to do with an additional 24 laptops? I needed more industrial equipment, not more computers.

  32. In addition, I had spoken with students who had gone there a few years before, then came back to get a different 2 year degree. They told me that it used to be that it was hard to find a parking place in our 1000 spot lots. I was shocked. Students were parking in adjacent grassy fields and roadsides. 5 years later in 2015 / 16 / 17, the parking lots were less than half full, maybe 40% full. Reason? These older students, now in their late-20’s to early-40’s, said it was due to the tuition increases the state allowed the community colleges to make each year. Instead of volume, they went with an elitist view and slowly but surely priced themselves out of the market. On my last day, several of the students lamented to me about my leaving and several of their favorite teachers leaving, “Why do they always get rid of the good ones?”.

  33. 1/4 of the way in, you discuss colleges, their tuition hikes and spending, and not aspiring to make their students outstanding for the global market. I graduated from North Carolina State in Raleigh (where John now lives) in the late ’70’s. I had a scholarship for chemical engineering. I worked in industry for 35 years, then got tired of the rat race, so began teaching Process Technology at my local community college / VoTech. Half my salary but twice as much fun. This program teaches students how to operate industrial plants, from pumps and motors and chemical reactions to electricity generation to discharge water purification to industrial automation. I wanted my students to succeed as I had done, yet I kept running into roadblocks and barriers that prevented me from teaching the full gamut of what was needed. Then the state ran out of money and let me, my dean, and my vice chancellor and 27 other instructors and staff go at the end of the school year. Then during the summer they found $4.3 million to “complete” the building I was in (finish the other half that was in the original plans 10 years before) which included a new auditorium, some classrooms, and 2 industrial labs which were filled with equipment from another campus they decided to close that had older buildings, but still in good condition.

The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services recently proposed to amend IDEA Part B regulations “to remove the requirement for public agencies to obtain parental consent prior to accessing for the first time a child’s public benefits or insurance to provide or pay for required IDEA Part B services.” Mary Byrne, Ed D, alerted me to this and explained this means the agencies can treat the child without parental consent. It’s deviously written – “accessing the child’s benefits” means treating.

As a retried 25 year insurance agent in California, the insurance markets fluctuate. It’s the nature of the business, however, I never saw such a hard line from many of the insurance companies which have recently announced their withdrawals from this state. I have to wonder if California is not agreement capable as Catherine so often points out is the case at the Federal Level.

      2. Good points. I worked in San Francisco for over 30 years and lived in Mill Valley for 34 years. My husband and I moved out of CA in 2018 to a conservative town in Western NY, my hometown. People here live in reality. We were subjected to deep state tactics, and my intuition was screaming that we leave. It is such a beautiful area but a dark cloud descended after 2000. I don’t own any property there but keep up with the apparent destruction going on in the Bay area like the stand down order on crime.   50. Reinette Senum’s Foghorn Express had an excellent podcast about Maui and other odd disasters. It is well worth the watch. In the podcast, she relayed what one woman did to help a small town, in the Katrina disaster, to recover and suggested it for Maui.

    I think it would be a great idea and maybe Edward Dowd or another resident or local group that could take it on. I don’t use social media, so I don’t know how to contact Ed – perhaps he knows others that could help.

    Perhaps you covered this at the time, but Ben Wallace was royally pranked in March 2022, giving a 15 minute FaceTime interview to somebody he believed was the Ukrainian Prime Minister, revealing many things, including: troop locations, that they only had one supply line into Ukraine, which weapons were (or weren’t) working, and just how low stocks of certain weapons were. When pressed for more weapons he seemed eager to send as many killing-devices as possible, but was visibly nervous about his capacity to deliver (and literally send out every last weapon in the UK). This call was covered extensively by UKColumn, but it is a testimony to the efficacy of the legacy media that virtually nobody I know in the UK heard anything about this enormous faux pas.
