Penumbral Lunar Eclipse February 9, 2009
A penumbral lunar eclipse will take place on August 6, 2009, the third of four lunar eclipses in 2009. The moon’s small entry into the earth’s penumbral shadow will produce an extremely subtle dimming of the moon’s southern edge, difficult to observe visually.
Just think that beautiful orb, the moon, is going to be blasted by tons of demolition stuff to create a crater 5 miles wide, this October. Consider if that moves this orb just a few centimeters off its axis or path. We have become a people of pathological insanity. Just because we can, we do. There are international treaties for doing this kind of stuff, but, of course, the good ol’ U.S of A. didn’t sign. So, now we become the test bed for some schizo’s wild nightmare.
Cliff High, where are you?
