I was only three when he first came on TV. I liked how he capered and swiveled around the stage. Definitely a step up from Lawrence Welk and his bubbles. Girls and women swooning and screaming over this devastatingly handsome fellow didn’t quite make sense to me. I remember there was a teenager who lived in a cabin near where we went every summer on vacation who had a big huge crush on my father, following him all around, because she thought he looked like Elvis. LOL
