“I also told God that if He spared my life I would write all the things I was currently scared to write — I knew He knew exactly what those things were — and then I collapsed into a feverish dream.” ~ Naomi Wolf

The day that Catherine’s interview entitled “Never Say Die” with Dr. Naomi Wolf published on the Solari Report, Naomi posted “Not Dead Yet” on Substack—the dramatic account of her recent appendicitis and hospitalization that brought her to the brink of death. Nothing less than a near-death experience (NDE) may have been part of Naomi’s extraordinary ordeal under hospital “care.”

We have featured the film Thanatos by Pierre Barnérias in Let’s Go to the Movies before; it brings back the theme of NDEs and what people who die and return to life recount of their experiences on the other side and the insights and changes in perspective that the experience affords them.

Director Pierre Barnérias, who also produced the documentary Hold-Up, has made the English version of the film available to Solari for full viewing.

  1. What a beautiful film and great message. I am reminded of what I knew as a child when my younger brother passed, I was six, he was five. He made me feel that he was okay and happy. I truly felt it. I had forgotten about this and am grateful for the reminder that this film brought me.

  2. My father recently passed, and this movie was such comfort to me. I have never been afraid of death, but it was still difficult watching him navigate the transition. His last 6wks on earth were magical in so many ways, and a gift to me and my sister.

  3. Catherine don’t ever stop. I’m a CRNA & I have been a nurse since I was 18 years old. I have seen & experienced so much pain. God Bless You! Love is the Answer.

  4. I was a successful executive in a Fortune 100 company when I died of a brain stem stroke caused by an untreated blood cancer. When I came back to my body after quite an experience on the other side, I was paralyzed and unable to speak. It took over 10 years for me to walk and talk again. Now after returning to the world, I’ve had some things to say for those who are looking for inspiration during these difficult times. My book, which took 10 years to write due to aphasia and being totally right brained, is called “one with the One: How Suffering Taught That We are Eternal and are Loved”. So let me say, from one Solari member to another, that we are indeed eternal beings, and that having been blessed with a direct teaching experience from Higher Self on two key practices (meditation and what I call incremental visualization), I know it changed my life path from selfish to selfless, and has deepened my understanding of life here, once again, in a body. These are tools that can change entire societies and our mutual outcomes if we do this together in “seeing” the future we want for ourselves and the next generation. I know that others have written about this, Lynn McTaggart, for example, someone I deeply respect. My book unlike hers, gives a first hand, down and dirty explanation of how a difficult assignment to meditate and visualize caused me to experience a virtual heaven on earth, and how I learned this through trial and error, picking myself up again and again with Divine help. My book gives a “how to” if you’d like to try this for yourself. It’s available in all the usual places, should this interest you. It was written for the sake of others, with no interest in personal gain, and I continue to trust in the inner voice which has always told me, when I said I didn’t have the ability to write it, “Just write it – we’ve got your back on the rest.”.It will reach those who need it. I don’t trust. Having been to the other side and back, and understanding how this works, I know. Blessings to us all! .

    1. P.S. I wrote it under a pen name of Emily Jean Entwistle (only you folks know me as Patricia).

    2. I read your book, Patricia, after you mentioned it in the comments to “Economy of the Energy Body”. It is remarkable how you dealt with your husband and your and his health impairments. The book contains great advise in starting meditation.

    3. I’ve read your book as well! It’s remarkable. Very deep and profound. It leaves the reader with much to ponder after finishing…why we are here, what is our mission, why we meet who we meet in our lives, lessons to be learned, how to connect and work with Divine love. I borrowed it to my mom to read after I finished, and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well. One obscure tidbit I distinctly remember from the book was when you wrote Bible verses and sayings of love all over the walls of your late husband’s room before repainting it when he was very ill. I LOVED this idea, to forever envelope and inscribe a room in God’s Word and love, under the fresh coat of paint. I think I will do this someday too. Much love to you for sharing your amazing story, and continuing to touch and transform us here in this side of the realm! Thank you!
