He subsequently touched millions himself with a higher message. Even the animals are said to have listened to his sermons.

Brother Sun, Sister Moon (1972) is one of the cinematic masterpieces by Italian director Franco Zeffirelli, each scene like an icon of sensitivity, innocence, and beauty. Wed with the soundtrack of Scottish singer and songwriter Donovan, the movie is certainly an unforgettable cinema classic.

  1. I watched this movie sometime perhaps in my late thirties. It was quite impactful. I even read a book about Saint Francis mom kept…I am not much of a booky…I keep a Saint Francis statue near the front door to our home. I had forgotten that the statue was a touch point for recalling Frances’ depth of commitment. A good time to watch the movie again..along with the music this week seems as well to wrap my soul with a renewal of sorts. I find myself in the midst of.Celebrating Easter .
