President Obama told human rights advocates at the White House on Wednesday that he was mulling the need for a “preventive detention” system that would establish a legal basis for the United States to incarcerate terrorism suspects who are deemed a threat to national security but cannot be tried, two participants in the private session said.

Obama has got to release the torture photos, close Guantanamo, give the prisoners due process, and put all the torturers on trial, Nuremberg-style. It is the right thing to do.
Bush and Cheney are now scared. Bush has been obsequious to Obama since the election, and now is trying to hide under the radar. Cheney is barking more loudly now than he ever did in office. Why these behaviors from these two now? Because they are scared that they actually might get exposed and tried.
But, I get what you all are saying. Wheels within wheels… Plus, not to mention, Obama probably got a lot of campaign funding from the financial elite; not just in donations, but probably in loans as well.

Our unalienable rights can only be altered by God, and to my knowledge the Big Guy hasn’t changed them. So, we’re still sovereign individuals.

Fred: It makes all the sense in the world. You see, this is for the coming potential “revolution” and “homegrown” terrorists. Sooner or later the American people are going to react to what’s happened. When they do, the government (bankers) will need tools to put the “trouble makers” away.

That does not make sense. They need to either be charged with a crime or let go.
