Our hero this week is Ed Asner, a great man, actor, and activist, who died on August 29, 2021 at the age of 91.

Asner was a supporter of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and participated in two of the organization’s films: Solving the Mystery of Building 7 in 2011, and more recently, the 2020 documentary, SEVEN. Read his message about the event that we are remembering this coming week.

As an actor, Asner appeared in more than 400 movies and TV shows. This multifaceted actor was a seven-time Emmy winner, but in our hearts he will be most remembered for his courage and generosity. You will find his charity in our lists of Solari donations.

More on his career as an actor here and on Wikipedia.

    1. Check out what he did on 911. Risked his life to get the truth out. Good man.

If the truth of 911 had been told – and with it the truth of the financial coup and the missing money – neither Trump or Biden would have won a primary let alone been president.

      1. Profoundly true. I have mentioned in subscriber input my work with John Judge. Before we worked together he had been with a group who’s magazine/catalog was called Prevailing Winds. Excellent work/catalog/group and I got to know those guys and they reported Ed as a true supporter. He was on the Board, fund-raised, etc. We are talking seriously cutting-edge radical work. Peter Dale Scott level stuff. Ed was a courageous truth-teller. What is referred to here might be put under the label of practical baby steps in a real world.

        1. Hard worker. That man was not afraid to get in the trenches, organize, network and do the work. I have great respect for people who dive in and do.

      2. I was a signing engineer back when the AE911TRUTH organization started. The first time I saw the event on live television, I said to a friend that it looked exactly like controlled demolition. It’s incredible how easy it has been to maintain the false narrative that it was other than that. The alternative investigations have fascinating evidence for anyone who wishes to know the truth.

    2. Agreed. As soon as I saw that he was listed as a “hero”, I became concerned about Catherine actually.
Asner was a staunch socialist/leftist forever.
It is to his credit that he sought truth for 911 though!

      1. What are the disagreements that are important and what are the disagreements that are less important? If everyone who agreed on the enforcement of basic Constitutional principles, including financial management laws, had gotten those accomplished, then 90% of all ideological debates would have gone away or been entirely irrelevant.

The difference between a conservative libertarian and a Democratic socialist is utterly irrelevant when $21 trillion is being stolen out the back door and smart grid of sophisticated mind control is implemented without debate, Because the people who can steal $21 trillion and implement mind control technology get to decide everything and have the power to poison, depopulate and control everyone except their insiders.

This is like debating what dresses we wear when our house is burning down.

Many of ideological debates over the last two decades IMO are simply dead ends, distractions and mind control accompanied by an astonishing inability to face what is happening around us. They are profoundly disassociated from grounded reality – particularly the reality that lives behind trillions of dollars of secrecy.

Yes, ideas matter. We spend a lot of time on the importance of ideas that are translated into action. Debate about ideas are important. But they have to come back to hard material reality. What are we actually doing. Why are we not pushing the red button?

Ed was a progressive who stuck with real progressive principles and supported politicians operating within the system. I am a conservative. Different philosophies.

However, he shared a deep ethic with me – courageous opposition to organized crime.

We need a lot more courageous opposition to organized crime. We need to do something about the “Beck Brothers” – Anyone who will stand up to the Beck Brothers is on my team.

I for one am sick of watching the Beck Brothers get away with murder because they spouting the right “ISMS.”

  1. Renaming things is exactly what communists do.

I don’t want any part of a site that has been infiltrated like this. 200 million people were murdered by communism last century. How many more this century will be murdered?

    New flash: McCarthy was right.

    See ya.

    1. If you are still around and have enough intelligence to listen to an alternative point of view then here it is. Yes communism murdered millions. Unbridled capitalism has murdered millions as well.
We live in a world where labels have been made and sides have been drawn, but by whom and for what gain?
I’d say it is to hide a larger, darker reality where we are all being manipulated, and pitted against one another to serve an agenda that is not interested in our (we the people) surviving, let alone thriving.

  2. Catherine,

Thank you so much for choosing Ed Asner as the hero of the week. I heard about his death on the news and I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to honor the guy, so I really appreciate you doing this. A lot has been mentioned about the causes he supported, but of course, nobody mentions his support for Mumia Abu-Jamal, a former Black Panther Party member, Philadelphia chapter and award-winning journalist who asked Frank Rizzo and Ed Rendell hard hitting questions regarding what they did to the MOVE organization.

I particularly love how the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police particularly hated Ed Asner for supporting Mumia. Mumia is a journalist and scholar, I am pretty sick and tired of the silence on the part of baby boomers who have not taken a step back to re-analyze who the Black Panther Party for Self Defense was. The BPP was one of the most American political organizations in our history, exercising every Constitutional right available to us all to stop police brutality in the cities of California and what did the NRA do? They worked together with Governor Ronald Reagan, the man who signed the 1986 Act, later as president of the United States that indemnifies Big Pharma from damaging our children, to come up with a bill that was the beginning of the destruction of the Second Amendment rights of all Californians, I am talking about the Mulvaney Act and instead of apologizes and coming clean, the NRA just goes on pretending it did not help destroy the Second Amendment rights of all Californians in the 1960s. By the way, so we are clear, I am an NRA member and have been for at least a decade and there is nothing I am writing here that I have not already written to them, in addition to my displeasure with making a traitor to the Constitution and the American people, Colonel Oliver North, a drug pusher, chairman of the NRA.

A “communist”, that’s how a fellow subscriber here is going to refer to Ed Asner as? News flash Senator McCarthy is dead, communism/socialism/capitalism is irrelevant, what the mafiosi of the world, that is government, are all practicing today is called state-cartelism or neo-feudalism.

  3. Interesting choice, Catherine. As an engineer in “Solving the Mystery of WTC 7” as well as many other 9/11 Truth documentaries, I can absolutely say that “Solving the Mystery of WTC7” is by far the most convincing. It’s only 15 minutes, and I’ve personally seen more jaws drop while watching it than any other 9/11 Truth video or documentary. I highly recommend it for those new to the subject.

I just ordered David Icke’s book on 9/11 entitled, “The Trigger” as it’s been highly recommended for laying out the answer to who was behind it. I’ll post again after I’ve read it.

    1. Thanks for posting the name of that 15-minute video, Kathleen, as I hadn’t seen that specific video before, and I just looked it up and watched it. In addition, I think it’s great that Ed Asner was involved in the creation and the filming of that video, too.

While I think it’s very important to have the detailed scientific analysis of what may have caused the collapse of Tower 7 on that day, to me the ultimate smoking gun that something nefarious and evil happened is the fact that even to this day, the mainstream media has never reported on the fact that a third tower came down on that day, and that it came down with no airplane ever hitting it. Once we know that the mainstream media has kept this fact hidden from all of us for all of these years, we can better understand that they can keep anything hidden and secret from us on any subject that they decide to…at least at the level of the mainstream media.

  4. Ed Asner, “I’m always thought of in Hollywood and surrounding environs as the resident communist.” Am I missing something here? I question your reasoning.

    1. Did you risk your life to spread the truth about 911? He did. So did I. My letter to Condolezza Rice was followed up with a poisoning that almost cost me my life. If the truth of 911 and the related financial coup had been told we would not be in our current pickle.

Ed Asner was a good man. His politics were pro-human. From Wikipedia:

Asner served two terms as president of the Screen Actors Guild, in which capacity during the 1980s he opposed United States policy in Central America, working closely with the Alliance for Survival. He played a prominent role in the 1980 SAG strike.[46] He was also active in a variety of other causes, such as the movement to free Mumia Abu-Jamal and the movement to establish California One Care, single-payer health care in California, for which he created a television advertisement. He endorsed Barack Obama during the 2008 United States presidential election. He was formerly a member of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DSOC)[47] and was a member of DSOC’s successor, the Democratic Socialists of America.[1]

I never saw one iota of intelligence to indicate he had one commmunist bone in his body – particularly given the large amount of money he made as an actor.

      1. I have been a supporter of 911Truth for a long time. I do speak out about it and financially support it also. And I admire Ed Asner a lot. He was not a Communist. Ask anyone who grew up under Communism. Communism in the Soviet Union and the satellite countries was not Communism. It was tyranny and a great experiment in how far the rulers could go in controlling people. My friend who grew up in Hungary under that system, and was actively involved in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, and escaped by walking into Austria at night before the borders closed can tell you all about it. And this is what he tells me and all of this is now revisiting him at the age of 84 because of what is happening all over the world right now. These are the people we should listen to because they know the truth and have something to say. I don’t listen to those who choose to denigrate worthy people such as Ed Asner.

Does not mean it’s a relevant label. It isn’t. You know what Marx said a month before he died? “I’m not one of those Marxists.”
