“Yesterday my high school sweetheart, the love of my life for over 35 years, the loving mother of our 4 children, the smartest kindest woman I ever knew, my beautiful and wise queen forever, Rhonda went to Heaven. Thank you for your prayers for our family in this difficult time.” ~ Thomas Massie
This week, we wish to pay tribute to Rhonda Massie, a businesswoman, mother, grandmother, and the beloved wife of Thomas Massie, U.S. Representative for the state of Kentucky.
Rhonda was a valedictorian at her high school, where she and Thomas became sweethearts. After being offered places at both Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), she earned a mechanical engineering degree from MIT and, with Thomas, built, grew, and sold a company before they relocated to Garrison, Kentucky, where they built a homestead and she dedicated her life to her family.
Rhonda will be fondly remembered for her kindness, warmth, and humor, as well as for being a devoted partner and source of strength for her husband. Kentucky state senator John Schickel echoed the sentiments shared by many: “Rhonda was a fantastic human being, and her loving marriage with Congressman Massie was among the most beautiful you could imagine.”
The Solari team extends our heartfelt sympathies to Thomas Massie and his family.
