Here are two men keeping their calm. When the on-board flight instructor collapses, a clear-minded and competent (anonymous) air traffic controller at Perth’s Jandakot Airport guides student pilot Max Sylvester—during his very first flight lesson—in landing a two-seater Cessna. Mr. Sylvester says that studying the textbook lessons helped him through. The air traffic controller’s confident and upbeat voice is the guiding force during these extraordinary moments.
Mr. Sylvester has no intention of paying for this lesson.

Oh how I love this! Wonderful people abound in this world. What an uplifting story. We are praying that the instructor is ok?
This made my day!
This brings me joy! Nailbiting but it helps me envision how wonderful our world will be when Mr Global is gone & it’s just us, working together. We can do this! People are really amazing!
Thanks for this share, CAF. Life is tremendous!
AMAZING! I spent hours flying the “right seat” of various small aircrafts and co-founded a commuter airline…and this air traffic controller was really fantastic.
I love that the student pilot kept his humor and used it to bleed off his nervousness. Brilliant job!
