In a fruitful partnership, co-authors Roger Ver and Steve Patterson published their excellent and revelatory book, Hijacking Bitcoin, in early 2024. Excellent choice. Peterson is a master at bringing a discussion of value back into the public discourse in a way that draws upon western culture’s historical religious tradition, science, and common sense. This is so necessary right now for our young people who are desperate for reason as well as spiritual regeneration in an ever-increasing unreasonable and hopeless world.
Yes. Peterson all teaches young people about the power of reason and logic.
Hi Catherine. I’m looking forward to your book review of “Maps of Meaning” when you have a chance to read it. I was interested in his work since he came on the scene, but have not been following him for the last year. I’d have to do more direct research myself, as I’ve come to learn that he may not be all that he claims to be and present himself as. I’m not so sure his Worldview aligns with Truth, but do not want to make definitive claims until I know for sure. Thanks.
……Dr. Baldwin’s interview, below is from 2016 but still very relevant. He also gives a
specific point in history of Christian leadership following a party line. Of coarse it had
been happening before that but the significant strength of leadership around the time of 911 leading to where we are now is notable. Dr. Baldwin was at the meeting.
Suggesting hero for next month; Chuck Baldwin for this sermon.
What do you think?

(for those with time issues, at around 33:00 on)
Wow. Listening starting at 32:00 – very good so far.
John: Suggest you listen to this one. Good one. Catherine
Powerful. The President of the Moral Majority tells the truth. I never thought I’d witness that.
Pretty great.
I love him. Getting to his series on Genesis next.
Having lived in the left-leaning San Francisco Bay Area for a long time, Jordan Peterson’s name was not thought of highly. Not until had I recently listened to him carefully, have I gained respect for him and his work.
In a paper I wrote this summer on “feminism” (a specific type/genre) and education, and the “feminization” of the classroom, I utilized his below University of Toronto lecture, in which he cites psychological studies that support the “biological” differences in personalities between men and women; one study includes the source of his comments that in the most egalitarian societies in the world (i.e. Scandinavia), the differences in choices between men and women are clearer and wider than in less egalitarian societies, in general (with room for exceptions, of course):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOJR-nEhNMk
The titles of the studies include the following:
The Gender-Equality Paradox in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education (2018), Stoet, G. and Geary, D.
Sex Differences in Personality Traits and Gender-Related Occupational Preferences across 53 Nations: Testing Evolutionary and Social-Environmental Theories (2008), Lippa, R.
Gender Differences in Personality Across the Ten Aspects of the Big Five (2011), Weisberg, Y, DeYoung, C, and Hirsh J.
Why Can’t a Man Be More Like a Woman? Sex Differences in Big Five Personality Traits Across 55 Cultures (2008), Schmitt, D., Vorack, M., Realo, A., Allik, J.
If anyone is interested in reading these studies (unless one has access to an academic library, paywalls keep these studies from public access), I’d be happy to provide them.
Thanks for posting! Nothing better than a serious collection of series science and research on any of these furball topics.
He is my hero for all time and makes my day!!
It was my son who introduced me to Jordan Peterson’s work. He has since turned his younger brothers onto to his work too. Peterson will be my hero for more than a week 😉
Yup!
I teach project management at the college level, and require students to read a book and present a review. In Winter 2018, one student chose Peterson’s “12 rules for Life”. I was impressed. I have since watched hours of his youtubes … one of my favourites is the differences between men and women, I have since relayed this discussion to many people. Here is the link:

Powerful. A lucid conversation at last.
He is first rate. Recently I reported to my dear friend and Solari subscriber, Rose McConnell, that while traveling in CA, I observed a woman curse and holler at a reserved and polite man she barely knew for over an hour at a party because he dared to state the other side of some of the propaganda she was spouting. Rose said, “Jordan Peterson says that it’s up to women to keep other women (like the one I mention) in check; men can no longer do it because their hands are tied.” I found a short video on the topic. https://youtu.be/qUWuaOPUjTI
Excellent point. Will take a look.
Thank you for your comments and the short video!
That is a great choice. Dr. Peterson has been at the forefront of standing up for traditional western values such as respect for the individual and free speech.
I have only had a chance to watch approximately 5 of his speeches. I think he is absolutely first rate. I have purchased his book but have not read yet.
