Our Hero of the Week is once again Congressman Thomas Massie in support of his reintroduction of the PRIME Act—the “Processing Revival and Intrastate Meat Exemption Act” (HR 2859).
This bill would give state governments the power to allow the sale of meat at the very farm or custom facility where the animals are slaughtered. During and after the Covid-19 crisis, the shortage of meat processing capacity has become a serious issue; the passage of the PRIME Act (introduced previously in 2015, 2017, and 2019) would alleviate this problem in a major way. If Congress had already implemented the bill, the pandemic’s effects on meat processing and local meat availability would have been significantly lessened.
Federal hygiene and inspection rules make it difficult to buy food from the local farmers and producers trusted by local consumers, who increasingly want to know where their food comes from, what it contains, and how it is made.
This is a fundamentally important bill that would cut unnecessary regulations. We are encouraging Solari subscribers to write to their representatives and senators to cosponsor the act.
Action Alert – Tell Congressmen to Cosponsor the PRIME Act (Farm Bill)
Congressman Massie has been a consistent and creative lawmaker standing strong for the people’s liberties.

The Solari Report has excellent intentions but desperately poor political discernment capabilities. Massie is a deep state sock puppet. Just look at who funds him. He sponsors a bill that he knows that you will like, and then he and the crew will completely sabotage it or make it completely unworkable. Folks, how do you think that we have arrived into such a horrible situation. The GOP establishment is far worse than the Democrats. The GOP establishment lies and gives the voters little thing that might be attractive with the right hand and then sabotages and takes from the left hand. Massie is a massive sell-out and is Mitch McConnell’s next in line. People need to wake up to this game and unfortunately Solari just keeps the GOP establishment game going…Very disappointing. If you are going to name heros, then please do some research (for politicians, find out who their paymasters are through FEC filings and not some little bill that will eventually die). It is like when Solari named de Santis a hero. The bill that Solari said was so good, went no where. The Disney fight with de Santis was a sock puppet show. De Santis has officially said in the press that the Disney fight is no longer a priority. It was all for optics folks. Some political discernment folks. 99% of congress do not work for us.
Honestly, right now, I only rate Harriott Hageman from Wyoming as a legit politicians. She has dropped the pretending and actually said the quiet parts out loud with regards to Majorcas. SHE should be a hero. Massie…not so much.

But still the “Republican” House of Reps do nothing. It is such a disappointment.
Good one. Will post and check out.
For me, the analogy is if Solari named Gary Gensler as hero of the week because (this is made up) Gary would support and implement more transparency on Wall Street. The Solari team would be instantly suspicious of this because they know that Gary Gensler is inherently untrustworthy and that no matter what he said, it would always result in the population suffering and the elite growing more powerful. It is the same with Massie and the rest of the GOP establishment. They throw cookies to the desperate population for any hope and then always sabotage and twist the results into their own benefit. The Solari team understands this with financial figures. Why do they keep getting bamboozled by politicians? Gary Gensler and Thomas Massie (and Pelosi and AOC and the rest) are the same Uniparty. There is only one single cabal of bureaucrats, politicians, DOD, banking, finance, pharma, Intelligence Community, and billionaires.
I see an enormous difference between Gensler and Massie. Massie has regularly taken unpopular positions within his party and promotes excellent legislation like the Prime Act. He also tries to get along. Easier said that done.
I will really stop venting my spleen after this. I am not just any other complainer who sits at home and shouts at the television. I felt very strongly that the country was going down a horrible, communist, “Mr. Global” direction and tried to do everything legal to stop it. I ran for a new, uncontested state house rep seat in a Denver suburb in the Nov 22 election. I worked my butt off knocking on over 13K doors and trying to visit every constituent (I was the single largest door knocker of any campaign across the whole state in Nov 22). I let my business decline and suffered financially. I raised nearly $50K for the race which, prior to this one, was a standard amount for a Colorado state house race. My money was almost 95% in district (meaning from locals). I ran as a Republican. My Democrat opponent raised six times the money with Youtube, Spotify, and cable television advertisements and 95% of the money coming from out of state (not even out district). I watched as the Colorado State Republicans systematically ruined every Republican candidate in the election in favor of the Democrats. The 2022 election in Colorado was a complete and utter wipe-out for Republicans. Democrats won a super majority in the state house, senate and governor’s mansion. In Jan 2023, the first piece of state legislation was to make ballot recounts illegal. Coloradans are only allowed to trust machine results. The State Republican party stood by and silently witnessed everything. The Democrats can only do what they do because the Republicans are completely complicit. Democrat=Republican=Libertarian=Green=Uniparty. We are not going to vote our way out of this (unfortunately)……I have since moved to Wyoming.
William:
Thank you so much for your effort. Very much appreciated. Colorado is such a beautiful state. But the black budget in Colorado has been significant for decades so I am always avoided – have refused to sign contracts subject to Colorado jurisdiction. I hope Wyoming is better.
Catherine
We disagree on Massie, William. What other member of the GOP establishment do you see us supporting. Made Bill Lee hero of the week and regret that now that he has called a special session. Yes, De Santis has reversed things that look good. I have regularly pointed that out. The people in these jobs are struggling against extreme pressure against getting good things done. To me it is important to say something when they do get something good done. Support for Massie stands.
For all the good that Congressman Massie has done there is one giant stain on his record. He voted AYE on H.R.3746 – Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023. Thereby removing the debt limit until 2025. Unfortunately, so did my “conservative” Representative. As a result we are Trillions more in debt and the world is finally recognizing the lack of fiscal responsibility of our government. The BRICs will meet this month to pursue a Dollar alternative. Can you blame them? I cannot.
I would be very interested in Catherine’s take on the Fitch downgrade of our debt.
Welcome to the fiscal Titanic. We will all have to scramble for the life boats and bale faster.
Happy to find both my Senator and Congressional Rep are co-sponsors. Gotta love being in Utah.
I got such a kick out of hearing Massie speak at the Rogue Food Conference in May. Brilliant guy and funny, too. He has such a common sense approach to politics and life in general. Loved the story about replacing the boiler in county jail/courthouse building when he had the inmates strip the copper tubing out of the old one and then installed the new one himself.
Love Massie! He’s always doing something for the people. Follow him on Twitter to see what much of it is. Of course, for many of his positive contributions, you have to live in Kentucky and especially in his congressional district (the 4th district) to get the most benefit. But what he’s saying and doing is heard and seen in public space, to be picked up by others.
The Prime Act is . . .Prime! It’s needed by farmers many of us know and depend on. Ta’ Hell with Big Meat!
