President’s Day honors and celebrates the life and achievements of George Washington, the first President of the United States (1789-1797) and ‘The Father of his Country’. The day is, in practice, often used to honor and remember all past US presidents, and in particular Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson.

President’s Day is recognized as a holiday by the New York Stock Exchange and US federal employees.

  1. He was “First in War, First in Peace, and First in the Hearts of His Countrymen.” As a child I loved honoring The Man Who Would Not Be King by having a school holiday on my birthday. On 2/22/22 the Governor passed Rule 2.13 saying she could determine my health and assign me to a treatment center. 1. Congrats on being a Grandma! My boys loved their Gramma! She taught them so many important lessons. She passed in 2019 at 88, we were so lucky to have her as long as we did, my sweet boys 16 & 11, speak of her often. ❤️ Have a wonderful week! God Bless.
