New research shows that the low levels of glyphosate found in human urine can promote the growth of human breast cancer cells, confirming the carcinogenic potential of the herbicide known since the 1980s.

The findings follow the unsettling results of the Séralini study – which almost certainly lie behind its notorious retraction by the journal editor a year after it was published (see Retracting Seralini Study Violates Science & Ethics, SiS 61) – are cancers in rats fed GM maize and / or exposed to Roundup.
