  2. Hi Catherine,
    I noticed a comment from an Australian regarding the individual right to own gun/fire arms. Part of the comment read as a negative for Aussie gun laws – I was surprised, to say the least.
    They got the guns off the streets, a few Prime Ministers back, not so much the drugs (sadly) but at least we don’t have that volatile combination pushing up our crime/murder stats.
    Yes, there are still guns on our streets & farms, (the latter as a necessity unlike the ‘bikies’, drug syndicates, criminals etc) but not in our homes. We hear of more stabbings than shootings as a result.
    If you compare our injury/murder stats nationally, adjusted for population, you can generally count reported ‘gun related crimes’ weekly on one hand and still have a few fingers left over. I don’t see that reflected in the US stats, where, sadly, it seems to be accepted as part of daily life.
    I know “guns don’t kill people – people kill people” but generally its ‘Joe Citizen’ that ends up with the lead implant – now if it were politicians, CEO’s of Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Ag, Media I could understand…..
    So far, I am glad “The right to bare arms…” is not in our constitution. Although, since Feb 2020, the direction we “Citizen Sheep” are being herded may see me change my current opinion……

      One article claims a technique of 2-minute power outage dropping a security firewall which then enabled a Stuxnet-like virus to take control of a facility. There is discussion of targets near the US-Mexico border, especially in NM/TX. Hopefully there were facility audits after the TX power outages.

      I wish there were journalists who could corroborate or negate the claims made in Yoichi’s articles. The articles may offer scenarios for interpreting news from southwestern US borders, or CPAC speech references to Venezuela and Mexico.

    I have been interested in your opinion regarding what role you see Bitcoin playing in the short and long term, but can’t find any commentary from you since things were pumping back in 2017. Am I missing more recent content? If you haven’t covered this recently, would you be willing to share your opinion? A couple specific questions I’d love to hear from you on:

    1. Do you consider BTC to be too high of a risk asset for gaining wealth in the short term? long term?

    2. Would you consider holding BTC to be “playing into the hands” of those who want to centralize digital currency?

Just wanted to say how awesome and informative this report was… I am very new to all of this and love the data which I can look up for myself… As a pastor, I find this info incredibly hopeful because it shows how we are under God’s grace and how God’s providence is leading us… As Julian of Norwich says, “all shall be well, all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well…” It may not look that way in data, but it is in God’s realm… Thank you for inspiring all with great info…

On the carbon credits, starting to investigate this in New Zealand, our productive farmland is being swallowed up by larger forestry companies is what looks like a virtual farm, because the value of the logs does not stack with the prices they are paying. Through our family beef and sheep station partnership i place a bid for part of a neighboring station on the market, we priced it at the earnings power of the stock units it could carry for a 15 year payout on 3.5% loan. While we have not been able to find the exact price is sold for, it is of the order of 5 to 10 times the value of our offer. There is a gathering movement here to understand where this carbon credit incentive is taking us, we end up with great swaths of land producing carbon credits and trees both products we as a nation have no control over the market. for starters i am looking to monitor the trend of a land (and by whom) being taken out of producutive sheep beef and land to forest and credits.

        Below is a quotation for one submission into New Zealand’s ETS (Emssions Trading Scheme). As a country we tend to be naive and easily manipulated/seduced by worldly institutions to the detriment of the country.

        I am working my way through 1000's of pages of NZ submissions and legislation on this topic. The bigger picture of the International policy influences will be harder to get.
        Pine forest sequestration arguably is already the most lucrative crop on the land, taking land out of food production.
        Is big finance deliberately driving this (food markets distortion, land grabbing) or simply clipping the ticket on global warming policy?

        1. Not sure. They are clearly trying to set up the conditions to force people into a biotech food solution and to central control of food. IMO this is required to deliver a digital transaction system of the kind they envision. But the details are far more complex and I do not see how the carbon credit schemes help them deliver it. If Biden comes out with a tax bill we may see a clearer picture.

    In your Ask Catherine, you shared that you believe gold Eagles are 24k and Krugerrands are 22K, actually Eagles are also 22K as well. The US Mint believes in adding copper to their gold coins even though they don’t circulate as currency, which is why I prefer my gold coins that are minted by other governments who do understand there is no point in adding so much copper because they don’t circulate so they mint 24k gold coins.

  19. Is it me…it took around 40 years to create a what 70%? effective influenza vaccine. But in 1 year various competitors find a vaccine all at the same time while being competitors. Then I found this talk by Professor Justin LeRoy, UC Davis, 19th century US history given in 2017 at the Whitney Art Museum. Title is “Race, Finance, and the Afterlife of Slavery.” He published a book “Freedom’s Limit: Racial Capitalism & the Afterlives of Slavery”. It’s worth a listen though over 3 yrs. old. Now the goal is universal digital slavery for all. Can you listen to the first 30 minutes and do you agree with him? Know you are very busy.     1. Professor Justin LeRoy ties black slavery of the past to the present and the social equity bonds market. You have explained this many times but it’s refreshing to hear an African American professor tie it into the private equity markets of today like you. As you say, the young people get it. He does mention the 2008 crash. Once a vulture always a vulture I say.

    On the 24th February the Fed system was down for several hours. The outage was not covered on the Fed’s web page but it was fleetingly reported in the media to have been a ‘fat finger’ mistake.

    Can the entire payment system which routes trillions in payments for the world economy be taken down at once with the push of a button, or could it have been a cyber security event? If it was indeed an attack, then by whom?

  27. Catherine- I just listened to your “update” with Mark Skidmore. I didn’t hear anything “new” since last August’s report. While you indicate that some Federal employees are quitting to “go physical” with their 403 (b) -Gfund- balances, you do not necessarily advocate such an action. Or rolling the g fund balances into an eligible trust that contains physical assets. There is no IRA with a govt treasury return guarantee like the G fund, or with lower annual service fees,so what are you advocating exactly such people DO? Thanks!

      Another $35 Trillion+ in undocumentable adjustments strikes me as new news.

      I am not recommending what you do. That is your call. You need to decide what the value of the US government guarantees is worth, what the lower fees are worth, what the current management practices imply in terms of risks and how those risks and rewards relate to your overall financial profile.

      It is my practice to recommend you not listen to experts, but collect intelligence on what is REALLY happening and then take responsibility to make informed decisions yourself. In part, this is because in a world deteriorating into lawlessness, it is anybody’s guess what contracts will be honored and which will not. It is a 100% political call – nothing to do with law or economics.

But what i have long thought (if not just hoping to believe) is that it is not politically possible to upset millions of retired (if not active military relying on promises) gun-owning military and civilian agency pensioners with the “new system” (digital, or combined with cash for the solvent not in any debt) that discounts too much or eliminates their chits.   30. Catherine, what’s the play with the farm land acquisitions by fake meat advocates? Will this dovetail with the green new deal / carbon credits so that the added value of that land will be the value of carbon credits available to sell to industrial producers? I’ll note that most of the Opportunity Zones are located in rural areas, putting rural land into play under the Opportunity Zone scheme.

    Under this scheme, the land owner can decrease food production while creating income from fallow land. Also a high barrier of entry to industry will be created (credits for new industrial facilities will be expensive and the land owner can decide who gets them and for how much), consolidating control of any new industrial production.

    It’s the only way I can make sense of investing in farmland while advocating for less farm production.

        1. carbon trading is an incredible scheme. it creates a commodity out of thin air. it can be passed off as a tax on any activity – be it consumption, transportation, or production. it creates a higher barrier to entry for any business, especially manufacturing. it favors large land owners who can monetize this scheme /including federal and state forest lands and large pension funds / corporations who are major landowners/. from what I understand, carbon trading requires fairly sophisticated GiS satellite and computer models whose cost would be beyond any value a mom and pop landowner could get for the credits on small acreage.

          any market needs scarcity to function, so carbon credits will be scarce and up for bidding. and if being able to purchase carbon credits will be a prerequisite for environmental permits from EPA etc., then a few landowners and carbon traders will control who can build a factory or open a business. from my understanding, Chesapeake Bay has a pollution trading scheme, where any new industry has to offset their pollution by buying credits. of course this deal is at whim of the seller.

          best part is, the carbon credits will be funded by consumers, who will see the cost of everything in their life go up, and as they said in davos, we will be happy having less! I.e. happy being poor, because the large landowners and investment banks are skimming off the proletariat carbon tax base. oh sorry, i meant happy saving the environment.

          it’s actually very plausible because it has something for big corp big government and wall street.

      2. I am in line to inherit a farm, a huge blessing, but this video gave me some insights that I did not consider. While there is no livestock, there are long term leases in place for livestock holders to graze the property. I will be on the learning curve here – along with my new greenhouse!

      3. wow, this explanation was eye opening. “You will own nothing and you will be happy”, and this seems like the mechanism to do so. Tax unrealized gains to steal private property from the rightful owners.

        i think the carbon ‘thing’ (it’s not a tax or credit or scheme – but an ideology) is even more bizarre. on the material level, you can follow it in many directions, and see how it ties into the virus agenda, the land grab agenda, the ‘be happy with less’ agenda, the technocratic ‘we’ll monitor your carbon footprint’ 5G agenda, etc…..but i think it’s even more perfidious than that. it’s really an ideology and world view, where carbon is an evil.

        as much as you see a covid cult now, i bet you’ll see a carbon cult, where the carbon emitters – the meat eaters, the consumers, the property owners – will be the new sinners, and the carbon neutral folks – the fake meat eaters, carbon credit buyers, UBI recipients – will be the new righteous ones. the carbon cult will be righteous on the basis of their renunciation of carbon activities (penury), and will receive penitence from the holy central govt by paying their rightful carbon tax. by doing that, the carbon cult will justify their existence (and be happy with having less), while the carbon sinners will be against nature.

        even weirder is that oxygen is the other side of the Co2 chemical equation. so if you really want to eliminate Co2, you should eliminate the catalyst – oxygen consumption. Oxygen is necessary for life. So, no life, no carbon. the ultimate carbon credit – righteous population control.

        this is ‘high octane speculation’ of course, but when someone wants to create a marketing campaign, it has to be anchored in a very simple idea – and what better idea to anchor it to, than to an already existing ideological system (christian doctrine)? and then subvert it from the inside. it’s also interesting to see because countries which do not have western christian traditions of sin and repentance – such as china and india – are not buying into the carbon thing not just as a matter of government, but also as a matter of society.

        anyway, it’s a fascinating concept, this carbon thing.

    QUESTION: Does anyone else feel that this new political narrative is surreal? Like we will go back to sanity next month? This is a huge step backwards, that the constitution republic is now a banana republic? And the COVID hoax? And the people rushing out to get injected? And Bill Gates? Gosh … Trump seemed to have us going in a better direction. NO! … I don’t tune into this melo-drama often nor for very long cuz it’s way too Crazy Town for me.

    Personally, I am moving my family, business and fitness moving forward and this is MUCH easier by detaching for the above. I am working towards getting my own 5 acres in N Texas and going off the grid as much as possible.

    My main ‘Sanity Life Line’ is Solari. I am up til midnight most Thursday nites & listen to every episode several times over several days. Also, the separate Ask Catherine’s are also invaluable.
