    The pronunciation of the name of China’s President 习近平, Xí Jìnpíng, in American English is close to “She Jean Ping” (like ping pong).

    I don’t care if his name is butchered, but for the sake of clarity it may be helpful. It seems that every week he pronounces Xi’s name differently… 😉

  2. I always love listening to you two talk. I wanted share an experience had this afternoon 3/16/22.

    I went to Walmart and was checking out. As I went to pay the cashier said we are not accepting cash. I asked to speak with the store manager. I asked the manager why aren’t you accepting cash? She responded we have no change. I respectfully said well just round the number up in your favor. I don’t need change. Her demeanor instantly changed and she rudely said SIR WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING CASH, and walked away. The happened at the Walmart located at 3027 Wade Hampton Blvd, Taylors SC 29687. Phone (864) 292-2014.

    I would like to know if anyone else in the country has had an experience like this or was this an isolated event?

    2. Hi Phil, we have not had that experience however,last week my boyfriend and I tried to shop at CVS in Taylors, SC and there was no customer service. The only human employee we could find directed us to a machine in the front, and it wasn’t working. We didn’t like that at all and so our solution was to start shopping at the Barnyard Flea market. 2000 Highway 101 S, Greer, SC 29651. It’s a bunch of small business owners, you may be able to get whatever you were getting at Walmart from there instead. They accept cash. Only open on weekends.

They’ve sucked $21T out of the US; it’s sitting in the spider web in offshore havens; Asia is rising; Russia invades in a power shift; all oil (BP/Shell, etc) and Silk Road assets have priced down. They’ve spent last 10 years moving into real assets and, with the markdowns, the City has the opportunity to buy real assets all across the land empire.

I have been hacked twice now; in July and fortunately (as Catherine asks: Who is your banker) my bank caught the debit charge and telephoned me, on the same day a credit card company called and asked me to approve a charge. The charges were made to Airbnb. Then this week it happened again with my debit card, it would have been an $800 debit. The fraud squad from my bank called within the hour. Once again it was Airbnb. In my live.com account at the same time I had many, many Facebook Market invitations which I did not open but marked as phishing and reported. SO THANK YOU FOR THE QUESTION AND ANSWER!!!! Also I had never used Airbnb and had never heard of it till then. I have never used Facebook nor have I ever received an email from them, until the fraudulent charges this week.

        1. An update, when I was saying “bank”, it is an FCU. And believe it or not, the $800.00 charge went through and was deducted from my account. In my calls to AirBnB, they wanted extensive further personal information to give me a “ticket #”. They were very sarcastic and actually amused. How very strange since the WSJ just did a huge promotional article regarding AirBnB office rental as a new service. And again, I’ve never had an AirBnB account, never used their services. Quite unbelievable they now have $800.00 of my money. I’ve filed Fraud charges. Just to give a heads-up to anyone else with AirBnB interactions.

  11. My checking account is with TD Bank and I just noticed something I have never seen before. Pending is “Token Provision Completed’ and ‘Visa Provisioning Service.’…both with zero charges. Does anyone know what this means and why it is on my account? I googled the question but don’t understand the answer. Thanks.

    1. Well, what is your assumption as to the reason the government gives for seizure? If for an unpaid tax, e.g., if they figure out you hold an interest in an LLC, they can levy on it. If they were to seize assets because they don’t like what you say, I would say that’s unconstitutional. If they are willing to do things that are unconstitutional, then all bets are off. It’s harder to find accounts in a name other than the obvious, of course, but that’s a practical, not legal issue. A co-owner in an assets that is seized may have greater success in getting the asset back, of course. Gold is an asset like everything else — a house, a boat, a horse….. Finding it to seize is the trick for enforcers.

My grandmother lived in what is called Bungalow Heaven, near the and I spent many a happy time just walking around and looking at all the houses. Lovely, but Pasadena has its secrets. As a newbie, I found Catherine’s comment on pretzel speak illuminating, as it may explain why I find it a bit difficult to decode what Catherine is saying, and also glad she is re-learning to speak English, as it may get easier. Also, I will become more able to decode, just by exposure, but for now it would be great if Catherine took a little more time to spell out the important big picture connections, even if it is nauseatingly boring for her to do so!!! She and John spend quite a bit of time saying “right” to each other’s comments, that would be better spent, imo, in adding a little more detail to what they are agreeing about. I did know that the City means London, but I don’t mind hearing it spelled out again and again. All this said, I find these discussions fascinating and ultimately understandable… I would just like to work a little less hard in filling in the blanks and having my blank-filling affirmed by more detail.

        Every time you hear a word or term that you do not know, I recommend that you look up on Investopedia or Wikipedia. I find that this is simply a matter of understanding 200 terms. IMF, World Bank, City, Vatican Bank, NY Fed, Exchange Stabilization Fund, etc.

    Meanwhile, everyone in the west will suffer with higher prices.

    I’m not sure how likely that scenario can play out. But is it in the realm of possibility?

        I know a lot of countries would fear possible sanctions from deals with Russia.

      2. Last year a large airline came in and stole a contract from a small airline in the valley. The small airline flew a small passenger jet that seated 12 passengers. The large airline was flying this huge jet(for the area) which held probably over 100 passengers. Funny, when I flew the small airline there were 4-6 passengers. When I asked others about the number of passengers they always said 2-4 passengers were on board. Well, this week the large airline cancelled all flights and will not fly to the valley — pilot shortage is the excuse. The locals gov made a big deal about how wonderful to have the larger capacity and the new contract. I knew it was a bad deal at the time…more scams du jour.

        Now, no flights. Not that I was going to fly anyway…not safe.

  43. I’ve noticed that during the past two weeks spraying has practically stopped here in Germany. In contrast, since Christmas and up to three weeks ago it was really heavy. I wonder if this has something to do with the biolabs in the Ukraine that ceased operations. Could they have been used to produce spraying agents for Europe? Has anyone else noticed the same?

    1. I have noticed a little decrease from previous winters in California – rounded clouds are allowed to form and the sun is round and not distorted. They do spray when we have a chance of rain though. We have barely had any.

    2. Yes! We have noticed the same over the sky in Croatia! So clear and beautiful, even the energy is revitalizing. I’m sharing this with my students and most of them are aware of this change. NATO might be the plosible counterpart in use of chemtrails, as all the lab sources were in Ukraine, not just biolab habs, but everything else related to pesticides, insecticides, ag chem stuff; not sure if Monsanto has their labs there.

    3. Yes, my students can’t seem to get a handle on things. People are walking about like the Rodin sculpture Burghers of Calais, without the heroic backstory. They act very lost. The difficult part is telling them what’s wrong without telling them.
