Inspired by events in Afghanistan and rumblings about Iran, I described the correlation between the creation of the Federal Reserve and the creation of an illegal narcotics industry in the United States today to a Solari Report subscriber. He was astounded to hear of it. My recollection is the best description I have found of this relationship was in Dan Russell’s Drug War: Covert Money, Power & Policy.
Used copies are quite expensive. Perhaps your library can borrow a copy for you. If anyone has suggestions for other sources on this topic, please do post.

The kids are listening – he regularly sells out venues. There is a level of awareness that can be spread by respected artists like Immortal Technique. There are actually several hip hop artists who are serious about community organizing and self-determination. We should realize that there is fertile ground for a lot of what is discussed on this site.
Drug War is probably one of the three most important books I’ve read. It would have been more powerful had it included more direct evidence of some of it’s assertions, but to be fair it had an immense amount of ground to cover. I was in many respects struggling as a reactionary box-thinker due to my ‘education’. I’d also recommend Language in Thought and Action by S.I. Hayakawa to help free up your mind and make it your own. The latter helped me better understand how language is misused to restrict and manipulate thought, and how to think more clearly.
good call Guy! immmortal technique tells some amazing truths in his songs. it’s good to hear so much awareness. it’d be even better to see it spread among the masses.
I’m thinking that Micheal Ruppert has some info regarding this on his website. I also think he might have some stuff on the NFL player who was murdered in Afghanastan, Pat Tillman which revolved around this.

If you have not read http://www.dunwalke.com, I recommend. There is a chapter on Webb’s book.
Dark Alliance was one of the few books I ever read that described the federal bureaucracy in an absolutely impeccable way.

Warning, explicit lyrics. But . . . reality is explicit.

While I admit I am not familiar with Dan Russell or his work, the ONLY person I trust on this area of research is Gary Webb, God rest his soul. In 2004, Webb was found dead from two gunshot wounds to the head, which the coroner’s office judged a suicide.

Webb was best known for his 1996 “Dark Alliance” series of articles written for the San Jose Mercury News and later published as a book. In the three-part series, Webb investigated Nicaraguans linked to the CIA-backed Contras who had allegedly smuggled cocaine into the U.S. which was then distributed as crack cocaine into Los Angeles and funneled profits to the Contras. Webb also alleged that this influx of Nicaraguan supplied cocaine sparked and significantly fueled the widespread crack epidemic that swept through urban areas. According to Webb, the CIA was aware of the cocaine transactions and the large shipments of drugs into the U.S. by the Contra personnel and directly aided drug dealers to raise money for the Contras.
Webb’s reporting generated a large controversy and the Mercury News backed away from the story, effectively ending Webb’s career as a mainstream media journalist.
Here is a site that has a more reasonable price on the book
