In July, the Secretary of Health and Human Services announced that the federal government expects to initiate a voluntary fall vaccination program against the 2009 H1N1 flu virus. The CDC will help state and local health organizations develop the vaccination program and are working to decide what should be the scope of the program for vaccinating Americans against the novel H1N1 pandemic influenza virus.

  1. I thought it was odd that Asthma camps were canceled early this summer due to swine flu.
I understand being asthmatic that as a population we are most at risk. Then a few weeks ago there were reports here in MO of it spreading at camps. I am now getting really concerned and I know of several cases this week. I know being in my thirties and asthma I would be able to get the vaccine. They are testing here at St. Louis University. I am ready to hunker down and live in isolation because I know it can kill me. I was already concerned before reading this. Yes, pray for healing.

  2. I have been told employees at a large medical center are preparing for a 40% swine flu infection rate. Martial law and curtailing of civil rights have been discussed in the Massachusetts legislature.
In 1978 a winter storm dropped 3-4′ of snow in Providence R.I. The roads were impassible. During this period price gauging occurred and stores were looted. This is what they are afraid of partly.
Be alert. Hope for the best but plan for the worst.

  3. Town halls gone wild

“Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, congressmen fearful for their safety — welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress….

““We’ve seen Russ Carnahan, we’ve seen Tim Bishop, we’ve seen some other people face some very different crowds back home,” said National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Pete Sessions (R-Texas). “The days of you having a town hall meeting where maybe 15 or 20 of your friends show up — they’re over. You’ve now got real people who are showing up — and that’s going to be a factor.”

    REAL people!

  4. I registerd for one. But I am going armed with my info i have collected because people do need to know what is comming down the pike.. I will add yes this is very scary indeed.

  5. So do you think the big pharma will pack the town hall meetings? What kind of a world would it be if we held meetings, stacked the deck with the people most likely to get a big payoff and then used the results of such a system to run the world ??
What kind of a system do we have-just that very one.
This is a very scary/sad development.
BUT perhaps there is the beginning of critical mass of understanding coming soon.
