  1. Hi Catherine,

Just a comment on bringing phones to Solari events due to being in a “trace,” specifically the recent Toronto event: for me personally, since I wasn’t driving and instead was taking public transit, and I needed/wanted to use my phone to navigate around Toronto, with which I wasn’t familiar, I brought my phone to the event and checked it in.

For me I wasn’t in a trance but was cognizant of what I was doing. After arriving, I put the phone in airplane mode, shut it off, put it in my RF pouch, and checked it in. I figured that the hosts would have a tin to put all the phones in for security. Just some feedback…

I can’t comment on those who would “fight” about not doing that… ???

    1. FWIW… “Airplane mode” ain’t what it used to be. It does not sever a phones interaction with the connected world, on it’s own. Neither does powering a phone down, although that is still the best thing to do before putting a phone in a shielding bag. YES… No Such Agency CAN listen in using a turned off phone.

The technology itself is designed, for obvious utility purposes, to always work to maintain a connection to the network and/or tower. When you shield a phone, it will work harder to make network connections, just on the matter of proper functionality.

If you are going to shield your phone in a bag or metal bin, power it down so it is OFF, otherwise it may rapidly drain the battery trying to make connection to the network.

I bought a shielding bag back when I owned an iPhone 8+, and it worked great. I’m only a minor geek, not a major one, so I don’t know what has changed since I bought the current iPhone 10S, but the same shielding bag will NOT block the signal on my iPhone 10S.

      1. Thanks for the feedback, David. I tried to cover all bases, just in case. I use an older phone, and have no intention of buying a newer version, so I think it’ll be good. Thinking of eventually getting a Silent Circle Blackphone or something like it…

  2. Hi, I wonder if you’ve ever addressed the idea of the “gold trade note” which Jim Willie and others suggest is being increasingly used to back major transactions, such as international oil sales especially by a country like China which has been making massive gold purchases.

  3. Hello Catherine. Great analysis and information as always! Having weekly links to past broadcasts is so helpful to both new and old subscribers! High quality information, which I treat as recorded history, should be listened to more than once!!! One of the many values of your service. I did want to note that the link to your conversation with Junious Ricardo Stanton is apparently broken or, has disappeared!

  4. Hello,

I heard reference to a comment in Ask Catherine about bad behavior by the millenials, but can’t seem to find the question/answer here? Where can I find it?

  5. Catherine,

I am beginning to see the system fail majority of peer groups, early 20s. The ones with “decent jobs” quickly lose any earnings to lords, student loans, and bars. Alot of my high school friends I don’t expect to ever leave their parents house.

Everything you preach about is coming on much faster than I was anticipating. A Lot of people are being squeezed.

Is this planned by the oligarchs or do they not have a hold on whats going on?

    1. When you extend false prosperity with non-sustainable methods, it is inevitable that people go into a spiral down or are squeezed. Part of the tragedy is that they have been incentivized to learn the wrong habits, the wrong skills, etc. So when the game is up, they find themselves much further across the line. On one hand, things are planned. On the other, they are organic. So the vision is planned. Timing is often fluid. This day was predictible in 1998 – that is when the 1995/96 decision became obivous to keep the aircraft carrier sailing straight in the direction of the iceberg. If you have not watched the Sir James Goldsmith globalization warning video or read https://dillonreadandco.com – these will help you understand how intentional this was.

      1. Remember – essentially to keep people busy during a financial coup – so they don’t interfere or understand until it is too late. This is where the entrainment came in. It has been wildly successful.

  6. Per the inflation discussion, a VZ friend told me most big ticket items (real estate, PP&E, etc.) are being almost given away since the society is breaking down completely.
However, fresh chicken eggs are almost priceless, as people still need to eat real food.
Net/net, “inflation” is a tricky phenomenon.
In that regard, I would appreciate any observational anecdotes you might have on the granular reality of how inflation manifests itself even as it destroys societies.

    1. James:

Excellent point – inflation is indeed a tricky phenomenon especially when we are in radical technological change. Will try to add anecdotes – encourage everyone to post.

    2. The Term is Biflation.

Necessary items inflate and unnecessary items deflate.

Individuals can’t track whats going on as they are squeezed tighter and tighter.

Things people thought hold “wealth” actually don’t, things that do, they don’t own.

We see 15% YoY reduction in the housing prices in places like destin florida. There is simply no demand.

      1. This is the kind of flip-flop that causes unfathomable cognitive disconnect. People discover how much their capital has been mis-allocated toward liabilities (i.e., beachfront property) that they thought were investment assets.
Meanwhile, the State has trained everyone to be dependent via unsustainable safety nets.
The next cycle of biflation will likely be global and blow our collective minds.

        1. This is the kind of flip-flop that causes unfathomable cognitive disconnect – Yes especially when it is income down, household expenses up 8-14% and real assets down. Lots of these patterns occurred in 2008-12

  7. CAF:
Some years ago you wrote a very helpful piece in which you “translated” a statement put out by the Yellen-led FOMC. If time permits, I ask you to share your view of likely future monetary actions given what was analyzed by DiMartino-Booth on 6/14/19 of the June 4th Chicago Fed conference. The info below links you to a 17 minute audio where she shares her thinking. Thanks in advance and I do understand if lack of time does not permit addressing my question. J

  8. President Trump has just announced the establishment of a space force, saying, “It’s all about space”. Well, you predicted this at the Secret Space Programme back in 2014 and more recently with your report on the Space Based Economy last year. This should convince everyone that Solari is essential reading/listening for trying to understand our world. Brava.

    1. Andrew:

I appreciate the kind words. For me this comes down to time. How do I use my time to understand my world? If we reallocate significant amounts of time from watching and reading the day to day news in controlled media, to understanding the deeper trends – increased investment in space, the rise of Asia, the push to urbanize into megacities – we can build an excellent framework to understand the day to day news and to decrease the chances that we are mislead. Open source intelligence can tell us a lot about where things are going.

  9. Negative Yield Bonds

What’s the end game with negative yield sovereign bonds? $16 to $19 Trillion being issued is mind boggling. Why don’t they just buy US treasuries with a plus yield? Or why doesn’t China issue positive bonds? Seems like a crazy thing … then (I’m For Sale) Greenspan says that the US ‘may’ have them in our future.

I just don’t get it …. apologies if you’ve covered this before …

    Thanks !!

    1. Where yields go when the people who are printing money are buying all the bonds. Estimates are that the Bank of Japan now owns 50% of bonds issued and 25% of Japanese stock float. So what happens when the central banks own all of the bonds and all of the stock market? Note Mark Carney’s statement that we need to create a new global crypto currency so we are not dependent on the dollar.
