  1. Dear Catherine,
Some months ago I was looking through Sofia Smallstorm’s blog. In 2018 she had covered the “inclined bed therapy” procedure. Afterwards I researched this at inclinedbedtherapy.com. Andrew Fletcher is the UK citizen who “rediscovered” this procedure back in the early 2000s. Well, some three months ago I raised the head of my bed by 6 inches. Since then I have noticed that my blood circulation is substantially better. I believe that an inclined bed also helps relieve acid indigestion conditions, helps reduce constipation, and may help women reduce their menstral cycle symptoms. Strangely enough an inclined bed appears to help reduce hair loss as well. Raising the head of your bed essentially costs nothing – old books will do the trick – and I am quite sure that the benefits are well worth the “investment.”

    1. I read about it several months ago and got some materials to put my bed on an incline. However, I have not gotten around to it. Your post is inspiring me to try it when I get back from Europe. Thanks!

  2. Long before crossing paths with Catherine, I crossed the line from 1) believing the markets were straight and 2) imagining that retirement was not intended to liquidate each saver (non-savers are ipso-facto liquidated). My language and fluidity in discussing these and other atrocities of our current system has grown immensely in the meantime, but it’s pretty clear that fixed income, unless enormous, will be quite risky, since we are now unable to control our future expenses in a meaningful way. If once the casino of investments comped drinks, rooms and entertainment at fair tables with ties going to the house, now it’s a cheat from top to bottom. C.f. The Godfather “You saying I’m skimming off the top, Mike?” “No, just unlucky.”

    1. Beautiful quote. I could watch those three movies 100 times and find more good quotes and insights.

  3. Catherine, I have three topics that may have a Solari flavor:
    1. Is there any possibility the FB’s Libra coin has “dead hand” sponsorship from the BIS? Libra seems too much like a global central bank business model to not ask that question.
    2. Per McConnell ringing the bell on SS and Medicare, isn’t it simple demographics? 1954 was the peak of the Baby Boom, and that group is now filing their forms to get in on SS and Medicare bennies. Ergo, the US entitlement ponzie scheme finally is going bust.
    3. As part of your Deep State discussion, I would strongly recommend including a review of the Manhattan Project and Robert Oppenheimer’s story. It’s all surprisingly well documented and horrifying. For instance, this movie on the Leslie Groves/Oppenheimer dynamic is pretty good:

    1. Will take a look at the movie. The Manhattan Project is fascinating but I don’t know much about it. It is a great example of the ability to keep things secret on large projects and the expense. Will discuss 1 and 2 tonight on M&M. THANKS!

      1. I view the Manhattan Project as the 1940s Deep State analogue to the contemporary “Big Data” Deep State power grab that you have discussed so much recently.
Back then it was all about luring and co-opting the country’s leading physicists, chemists and engineers. Whereas today it’s more about harnessing and misusing the brain power of leading computer scientists.
The Deep State is amazingly insidious.

        1. When you can print as much money as you want, it pays to buy up everyone you want on your side. Why let them oppose you when it is simply a matter of printing more money off a computer? After all you can more than compensate the insiders so they stay ahead of any inflation created.

  4. Interested to hear your analysis of

    1) Trumps Small Business Health Care Act- I’m guessing their’s a hidden agenda
    2) Trading Boeing Exec vs Raytheon Exec as DOD.

    It’s almost comical out there

    1. Also, take a look into the economic numbers on illegals.

-If they deport all the illegals, we are talking about a large number of low income jobs opening, maybe even wage increases.
      -Massive deflation on renting/healthcare…etc.
-As things slow down, and the pies shrink cutting out the illegals could really solidify the neofeudal structure i believe “they” are going for.
