  1. It’s a pleasure to read the comments of subscribers and of course our gracious host on Solari, even as there is basically nothing but low theater for us in the popular media. Even FOX, which has done an admirable job of upholding the moderate right point of view has mostly devolved into arguing against what the Fake News is arguing against, with the net of no real news. We may speak of Asia as being more solidly rooted in reality, but this morning, the classical music station that I wake up to aired BBC news, which led off with “The historic end to legal prohibition of gay sex in India,” a matter that would not appear to have much effect there or anywhere else. Like some share of 1.2 billion people people aren’t already doing it or tourists are avoiding India until now. People are still being abused and surveilled, kidnapped and trafficked (all of which is underreported) but they won’t be prosecuted for sodomy. Just wrong-think.

    That last point is what we American residents have to be most concerned with, and why it’s necessary to once again repudiate the deep state in the midterm elections. We need to get the word out that any backlash we have to contend with will come from the left, unless they are demoralized by the Democratic Process. They continue to be emboldened by the media support for their agenda, and The People must continue to put ‘Paid’ on any insinuation that the radical left has rising popular support.

    After long searching I am unable to answer questions I conclude are very important. I ask your assistance in finding resources that will help.
    The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) was signed into law by President Donald Trump on December 22, 2017. I list numerous questions below stemming from this law:

    US corporations pay how much less federal tax in total in 2018?, 2019?
    How much of that total accures to the largest 50 corporations? largest 100? which ones?
    US citizens, by creating corporate entities and/or shells, pay how much less federal tax in 2018? 2019?
    How much of that total accures to the top 100 citizens? top 500? which ones?
    Who/what entities are buying the large dollar amounts of added US Treasury securities issued to finance the rising federal deficit?

    If you successfully refer me to resources that answer those questions, I ask you in advance if I can pose added questions. If not, I understand.

    Are you going to talk about the Supreme Court nomination hearings? Today was a shit show! There was one Senator that needs to be recognize and that is Senator Sasse’s opening statement. WOW! What a brave man to say what he said on the record.

    Also, I want to recommend Dr. Farrell’s interview with Dr. Horton. You know, I’ve seen many of Joseph’s interviews this one felt a bit different. He normally goes deep but holds back. This interview he let out a little bit more than normal. The two of you know each other intimately and had millions of conversations but for the rest of us on record Joseph speaks strategically. The rest of the information a person has to find in his books. Which is completely acceptable, not at all to be criticized.

      Why was Condoleezza Rice at Kavenaugh’s hirings? I thought that was strange.

      I know government is a mess and those kinds of antics go on all the time but watching live like that, really made my heart sank. Being a Solari member I hear a lot of stuff but actually watching it just made me sick to my stomach.

      1. Rice represents a faction of the Republican party – Schultz, Kissinger – what used to be the -grossly oversimplified- the old line traditional Rockefeller/WASP line – including the Bushes. Essentially the Mandalay Camp at the Bohemian Grove. I assume she was there representing their interests. They will want Kavanaugh in and will want to make sure no one messes it up.

        1. Why would they want Kavanaugh in when Trump is “going against” the Bush mafia?

          I wanted to puke when Kavanaugh sang W’s praises.

          1. the whole disgusting rhetoric against the Patriot act. Democrats are just as guilty as republicans approving that gross piece of legislation. The whole thing is beyond hypocritical.

          2. These are ceremonies designed to affirm the official reality. Why are you watching it?

  5. ‘First they kill your name …’

    The propaganda machine is a great success. Many of my friends actually believe that a) Russia hacked the election (invalidating his presidency), b) Hillary was actually elected in the popular vote (Never mind that Bernie votes were stolen or the electoral college results DO count), c) Ad Hominim attacks on anything Trump are completely legitimate and supersede the results he’s bringing, and d) A complete lack of tolerance for everyone who supports him. Then a recent report that 50% of those polled actually support impeachment. Even the McCain funeral was a deep state celebration and chance to further their attacks.

    The media machine and deep state is definitely doing its job – with little or no relevance to facts or reality. Propaganda is legal and his name is being killed in coordinated and unrelenting ways …

    Swamp drama or real threat to MAGA … or ??

    1. PS Do you think that ANY of the Clinton / Obama / Mueller gang will ever be indicted for their litany of crimes? My guess is … no. I can’t see the day when the Rule of Law will fall on them.

      1. Right now things are fluid. Under current circumstances, chances look less than 50%. I would wait to see what comes out between now and January. The big focus is on capital repatriation, insourcing and building corporate profits. Indictments make these things harder to do – better to use them as leverage to get these things done.

        1. This is the reality – 1,000,000 acres burned by thermal gentrification. Clintons still multimillionares.

    2. America is failing — so it is lost in its trance. The world is moving on. So we each need to decide if we want to be lost in the trance or move on. My friends who are part of the Asian invasion say that they waste not a minute on any of this – they know it is not real or relevant to their lives. Hard for us Americans to let go of it.

      1. Thank you … I AM one of those who are moving on to create good things for others and for my family. You’ve made the point many times that it is a greater benefit to have our country pointed in a better political / economic direction than to lock up a few people. ‘Looking for justice in all the wrong places ….’

        1. I think it would be great if we had some significant prosecutions. But I also know how tempting it is to negotiate for leverage when you are trying to get things done.

    In your “2nd Quarter Wrap Up 2018: The Rise of the Asian Consumer”, David Kohler wrote a comment on July 31st asking about the story behind the ghost cities in China. You replied you were going to cover that in Ask Catherine that week. I think that’s a really intriguing question and I am curious to read what you have to say about it but I can’t find your answer in any of the subsequent Ask Catherine’s. Can you please help me find your answer? Thanks.

    1. Thank you for asking the question. While I don’t believe that any communistic country achieves efficiency, I DO wonder why a reported 60+ million units – with infrastructure – has been built. They remain empty. Was this simply relocation for dissidents? Some have speculated that Australia’s lush farmland (25 million population) was a target for ‘acquisition’ for China. Maybe for some of Taiwan’s 23 million people?

      Or is it just a result of poor communistic ‘planning’ and I’m waaaaay off base ….

          1. They have a lot of people, including a lot of people they want to move to urban settings.

        2. I think they were trying to boost economic statistics when the building was being carried out and thought that if they built it, they would come. Despite their hubris, nobody came. Now the buildings are crumbling, at least in some of the cities. What would have happened if they were occupied?

          1. I think it is a one project at a time thing. No doubt, there is significant waste in the mix.

          2. Here’s an on the ground report. Sorry, but I believe China is all smoke and mirrors, propped up by money and tech from the western countries. Without globalization and the impoverishment of the western middle class, China would be no different than under Moa. There is no way that China will supplant the west unless the west is killed from the inside, which is what’s been happening for the past 50 years.

          3. There are a lot of strong arguments that China is weaker than it seems. Certainly the explosion of debt since 2008 – particularly dollar debt- supports your arguments. And the bubble waste is also significant. Thanks for posting those videos. I have spent a lot of time watching ones like it. One question I would very much like to answer is who really owns China and how much support is coming from the West – seems a lot. However, from everything I read and see, it looks to me like their innovation speeds in tech are higher than ours – factoring in the effort to destroy our middle class.

          5. I understand that they have adopted some tech faster than our population has. However, I’m not sure that calling it innovation is the right way to look at it. They have adopted the worst part of the new tech–spyware. So every Chinese peasant has a smart phone they used to pay for groceries. Seems like a big fat who cares to me. Just means that they are too stupid to realize how important privacy is, not surprising after generations of communism. Sadly, Americans are losing any sense of the importance of privacy, too.

            Anyway, I think the hype around AI and robotics is way over blown. SillyCon Valley is one big huckster show with actors like Jobs, Gates and Musk romancing the fan boys. Theranos was a very important tell. If anyone other than one of a favored huckster tried the IPO trick that Musk pulled, he’d ALREADY be in jail. Nothing will happen to that lying, steaming pile.

            The mantra from all the usual suspects, including some “brilliant” “libertarian” billionaires that this will be the century of China is a tip off that it’s a script. As you pretty much said in your Hunter interview this week, without the money stolen from the USA, China would be nowhere. I’m thinking that unless they reduce all of us to penury very soon–which of course could be part of the plan–it will always be nowhere. Besides the level of deceit, theft and gambling that goes on, the Chinese are not innovators. Think about it. They had gun powder and the best they could do was fireworks.

            If tptb destroy the west, they will destroy mankind. There is a reason that liberty, capitalism and the industrial revolution happened in the west.

  7. CAF, I have 3 daughters, all three so much smarter than myself. I have tried so hard to explain to these young women that there is a snowball advancing at greater and greater speed. If you were to recommend one book to your child to try and put this mess in perspective politically, financially, and above all morally, which one would you pick.

        1. I skimmed it when it first came out. I remember thinking it was a decent overview – but don’t remember details. I think Hellyer is high integrity, capable and authentic and understands a lot about the financial system and the economy. I have only occasionally disagreed with his views – as I remember mostly on the UFO issues.
