All of this is present tense, so the supply of information is naturally limited. Imagine though that the US competition with China to build out the new Silk Road is really to lower their profit margin, another dirty trick we might be playing. Then imagine, as suggested elsewhere, that the Trans-Siberian Railroad is where we really expect to compete, in cahoots with the Soviets. That further worsens the Chinese profit picture, by taking volume away. The Chinese aren’t dumb, though, because their real export is going to be millions of their citizens along the route, creating long-term allegiances in the bargain. It’s expensive to build the rail lines, but orders of magnitude cheaper than fighting a war.
Another wild card is the long-standing rivalry among the Chinese, Persians and Hindi peoples, kept more or less civil by the dictates of geography for millennia. Each imagines the other as lesser among the true heirs to humanity’s forebears. There are a lot of possible outcomes.
The opportunities for divide and conquer are endless. Outcomes are many. Especially if Fortress America is strong and resilient (and unfortunately highly mind controlled)
As I stop and think about it, the three ancient civilizations I mentioned each have had strong mind control via cultural indoctrination, long before technology was an option. Perhaps their discrete persistence can be credited to their greater success in perfecting the capital, whereas Babel scenarios are visited upon those which fail to toe the mark. In the modern West, it’s ‘submit the mind’ or be obliterated as a polity. We may have built the tower too high.

Not sure that Haley was ever a good fit – I thought that Trump was doing a political balancing act by having a broad spectrum of views.
With all of the quiet corporate AND government resignations and with so many incumbent politicians opting not to run again, perhaps Trump is trying to AVOID the overt Swamp Cleansing to keep the dollar strong and the markets stable. Is the Art of the Deal at work?
… then the possibility of military tribunals would be left for those who believe they are immune or just too stubborn to quietly walk away. Seems that Hillary is either feeling immune OR is playing the ‘best defense is a good offense’ game.
Interesting times we live in …
Question: Mr Global didn’t come this far for the last 55 years to be stopped by Trump. Do you have any insights on the upcoming elections? Hacked machines? Does it even matter that we vote anymore? :-/
Can’t wait for this week’s CAF’ Viewpoints!
Purges are happening quietly. Whether they go down in a way that brings real swamp draining remains to be seen. Financial Coup is over. Need to cleanse liabilities and bring in a fresh team.
Sounds to me like Bush and Clinton have cut a deal and are feeling quite safe.
Catherine, correct me if I’m wrong but in the past any country that even thought of bypassing the US dollar effectively put a target on its back. That no longer seems true. As many countries create different payment systems, nary a word from Trump. It would seem, he is not particularly concerned about this but that rather he continues to advocate trade and manufacturing. Could it be that his vision of a multi-polar world includes multiple tracks for multiple currencies? Could it be that he views dollar dominance as ‘unfair’ and is providing maximum flexibility to countries to conduct their business. It does seem to me he gets systems and has very long term goals for development of a new and different system.
Dollar dominance is one of his goals – but he fights for what is achievable with what he has got to fight with. He wants to make sure the US is fine either way – with and without the reserve currency – but he will capture as much value from reserve currency as possible.
Wonder what is up with Nikki Haley resigning? Perhaps something more is in the works for her and perhaps a placeholder will be substituted as the US turns its back on the UN.
Could be many reasons. However, if this is a Haley for Powell switch, likely that the Trump Administration is looking to launch a war with Iran or double down on the ME.
Powell as in Colin Powell…?
Dear God…
Dina Powell as in Codoleeza Rices former assistant, Gary Cohen’s former deputy and Goldman Sachs partner.
war with Iran will be a very, very, very bad idea. He’s been throwing Ivanka’s name out for Haley’s replacement.
Between Ivanka and Powell, I would vote for Ivanka.
Well thats strange. I posted another comment here and it disappeared. Ivanka is smart. She know her best interest is sticking with her current portfolio and seeing it through – and staying in the White House to support her father. She tweeted immediately that it would not be her.
Najat:
Did you delete your post about HC? Another comment disappearance.
No I didn’t and I had a hard time logging in.
A war with Iran, while interesting to neocons, does not appear to be something that would appeal to Trump. I think he keeps that one on ice, meanwhile consolidating North Korea.
Some of the next big items I predict will be the unsealing of indictments against consensus villains and letting those go through regular, not military tribunal courts. There will be a lot of testing of the waters in this process. My belief is the Dem’s deliberately made a circus out of Kavanaugh, fully expecting their inevitable loss and they will certainly accuse the Republicans of retaliation should their prosecutions become anything less than “according to Hoyle.” Wise Republicans will not afford them such an opportunity, instead taking the high ground. A track record of probity having been established, bigger fish could then be fried.
Makes a lot of sense.
Catherine,
I thought Trump’s speech at Kavaunaugh’s swearing in ceremony tonight was one of the boldest moves in politics I’ve seen in a long time. Bush would have never done that for Clarence Thomas. I wouldn’t be surprised it was the Bush team that created that drama with Anita Hill to damage him as a judge.
In my opinion, Trump setting the stage.
We live in tense times but no one can complain it’s boring.
Najat
Very astute speech. This is gathering Republicans around core values – should be positive – lets see. The White House conference on 5G was crowing about ignoring the Constitution.
Catherine, I agree about the 5G conference. I made a post about that. It freaked me out. I don’t get it.
Who knows what the hell is up next…
and the next day…. Nikki Haley resigns.
It truly is the twilight zone
Catherine,
I’d thought you’d get a crack at this headline from Reuter’s.
Pope blames devil for Church divisions, scandals, seeks angel’s help

Treasuries are crashing. Stocks are following. Usually bonds go up when stocks go down. Something unusual is going on. Is this the big one? What are your investment recommendations, other than go to cash.
Treasuries traded off. A crash is much bigger. This is not a crash. Could a crash happen? Yes, but IMO unlikely this year. Stocks will follow only if the rise goes and stay above a certain amount. Stocks are way overdue for a consolidation. We have to go through consolidation levels for a real drop – all indicators say we are still in a long term bull market. Given what technology can do, we may stay there or not. The politics rule.
I don’t give investment recommendations on the Solari Report. Each person is different. Unless someone knows you and your situation and your goals, they don’t know what is in your best interest.
We are moving into a an environment with great uncertainty and change than mankind has ever lived through before. Forget predictions, forget prophecies, forget planning. We are all in learning/rock and roll/make it up day by day mode.
We can have a vision of where we want to go…but my plan is to “remain in right relationship with the lord” as I navigate a future that is unknowable. This is why I spend so much time trying to understand primary trends. We can understand and align with the primary trends.
RT WROTE:
Dear Catherine and Joseph:
My two cents about Kavanaugh.
It was a throw. It was a distraction.
A couple of weeks ago Trump declassified the FISA court materials concerning his election and afterward. If they had been open to the public it would have shown evidence that the CIA, NSA, FBI, members of Congress and DOJ along with the British government and MI6 had conspired to over throw a duly elected government of the United States. It would have given a new meaning to “special relationship.”
Shortly after that a memo was released through the NYT that said the Rosenthal had asked if he should wear a wire when meeting the President. “It was a joke.” according to Rosenstein. What went unsaid was how many people did wear wires when talking with Trump. The threat was that they had something on him.
From what I could tell from afar Trump was stymied. Then Kavanaugh was nominated and everyone dove into the solid waste processing system of the federal government, including the Republicans. They always had the votes because Kavanaugh is a Bush sycophant. But for two weeks there was high drama and no one is talking about the FISA courts. Trump does not have to openly back down, and no one has to answer questions about sedition and treason (including the Queen)
And the answer is yes. No one in the above named agencies and many others as well, like Wall Street. Cares about due process and care about the rule of law. I am not saying ultimately it will be in their best interest but right now they believe that they would be better off without it. This means martial law or a civil war and a dictator. Remember Caesar came to power because the Roman Senate was so hopeless corrupt that he could present himself as a man of the people.
BTW martial law is already declared. If you look back at an executive order signed by Trump on December 31, 2017 along with the “state of emergency that the US has been in since 911 it pretty much legally gives him all he needs legally. Finally a happy thought…perhaps the reason for the military tribunals is there are not enough honest judges in the Federal system to try so many people.

Excellent comments, RT.
I believe there is a tie in with Iran and Eurasia politics. Putting space between the US and UK could impact what happens significantly.
If you watch the Worricker Trilogy, the implication is that the US bought the British prime minister behind MI6’s back during the Clinton years. Perhaps they got us back.

Big mistake for the Anglo-American alliance to let weeds grow up. Big mistake.
According to the Q narrative, FISA issues and Deep State arrests with military tribunals will follow the Kavanaugh confirmation. Lindsay Graham seems to have flipped (? due to pressure from White House) and made a long interrogation of Kavanaugh into the legality of the Military Tribunal system. This would support the Q information that arrests are indeed coming. I also think that the unnecessary increase in rates by Powell is a thinly disguised effort to crash the economy and the financial system. The Elites have long planned to do this as a backdrop and excuse for setting up Global Governance. We may be at the cusp of truly Biblical events that are coming down the line. From Prophecy we know that the NWO which is the last gentile world empire of Daniel will succeed for some time before being destroyed by the re-entry of the Chosen One. Lots to think about anyway!
Edmund:
Clearly something is up. However, with sealed indictments and EOs for military tribunals there are clear indications that a purge is underway. Question is who gets purged and why? Is one faction consolidating relative to another, is a phase over and you cycle in fresh people. We will have to see who is “resigned” to understand where this goes.
Rising interest rates says that the leadership is offsetting the party begun with capital repatriation and tax reform – insiders will be advantaged and the bankers will get there share of the party.
