The opportunities to reinvent, restore, and replenish the American economy are endless.
- The first opportunity is to let up on the police state and centralized make-work and expenses. What about shifting those hundreds of billions into building up our infrastructure and healing our environment? What a relief and boon to the economy that would be!
- The second opportunity is to stop permitting systemic corruption in Washington by simply making Washington budgets and financials accessible on a place based basis – by county or Congressional District. That opens the pathway to a productive renengineering of government credit, spending, regulation and investment for life and opportunities in the 21st century.
- The biggest opportunity would be to allow capital to flow to entrepreneurs in free capital markets. That would unleash untold, bottled up ingenuity. So the SEC finalizing reasonable final rules on crowdfunding would be a good start.
In my experience, investors agree. We have reached the absurd place where lots of private investors would rather give away money through crowd funding donations to invest in projects that have a positive TOTAL ECONOMIC RETURN than to invest in global stocks and bonds for a RETURN TO INVESTORS that is pumped up by managed markets or economies run on government money.
When people tell you that America is going to collapse, don’t believe a word of it. America has an opportunity to be the strongest economy on the planet. However, we need maturity in culture and investment to get back on the right track. That starts by using our ingenuity, time and talent to apply available and new technologies to addressing real problems.
The following article describes one such possibility. Maybe it works. Maybe it does not. If it does not, then we learn what might work. We are learning in the direction we need to go. There are always lots of challenges in introducing new ideas and new technology. There is a great deal of risk. However, a highly innovative culture and economy tries stuff. This sounds to me like an idea worth trying. If investors were free to invest in free entreprenuers going at the challenges upon us, what a world it would be!
