Thank you, Catherine and Carolyn, for answering my questions on teaching my children about investing. You mentioned the four Dummies books. However, when I looked it up, there are over a dozen. Which ones, specifically, were you suggesting?

I just wanted to share my experience with the smart meter on the house.
Someone called my husband to tell him they needed to set up an appointment to change our natural gas meter and I called them back to tell them that I would need to look into this and get back to them in a few days.
Meanwhile, two days passed and someone rang my doorbell to let me know they needed to schedule this appointment and I told them I was still looking into my options and he said I had no options and there was no opt out so this left me a little upset,
I called National Grid (our power company) and there was an opt out for a small fee! So I filled out the paper work to opt out.
Our current meters were apparently already a smart meter that worked when they drove by, the new one apparantly they would not have to be a drive by.
Anyway a few weeks passed after the paper work was submitted and someone from National Grid showed up to change my meter and I ran out to tell him I wasn’t changing well apparantly he was putting on the digital meters so no more drive by readings everything is back to all digital. The National Grid guy was great and we had a great chat! So definitely check with your company!
I am in upstate NY
Perfect example of why insisting on what you want and doing due diligence can make a big difference. Thanks for posting!
Smart meters: buy a testing device – I have one that’s a 3 axis 500mhz – 8Ghz. Find out how the meter is affecting your living spaces. The cheap option is to buy some aluminum screen, nail it to the wall, and put some fabric over it so it doesn’t look terrible. Alternatively you can buy EMF paint, but you’re committing to permanently shielding that wall – you would have to tear out the sheetrock to remove the effect. Also beware if you are standing next to a shielded surface with a cellphone in your pocket, you’re being irradiated twice – once from the cellphone and once from the wave reflecting back at you. So don’t do that. This is why it’s important to have a testing device so you can know the end result of whatever circumstance you have created. Also, a word to the wise: most people receive far more radiation from the devices that they own and control than anything that someone else is doing to them. So again: get a meter. You may be surprised where your biggest sources of radiation are coming from. I had an old printer that was sitting searching for WiFi all day for instance.
Great advice from Catherine to find an Electrical Engineer. My schooling is Computer Engineering – we shared half our classes with EEs and I will vouch that both degrees are trained in consequences of electrical signals traveling through various mediums. Show them the RF Color Charts on this website, and they will pretty quickly be on the right page to interpret test results and infer biological consequences. https://bioinitiative.org/
The financial institutions blocking signed in customers that are using a VPN, are basically saying “we are paying operating costs considered a security cost …to know if the customer is signing in to their account from their device, someone else’s device or a cloaked device. They just can’t let in a cloaked sign in. They pay to get near instant results about the secure sign in of a customer. We can safely assume your data is only available for need to know. I don’t worry because it’s already too late to get my data deleted. And if I could I could only do cash business since service providers would only know me personally. I’d guess the risk is AI.
