Read the transcript of A Conversation with Thomas Meyer

“We have to pierce the tunnels of loneliness with the conviction that there are other people and one has to trust that one is led to them.” ~Thomas Meyer

By Catherine Austin Fitts

Late last fall, Thomas Meyer asked me if he could interview me regarding 9/11 for his monthly magazine The Present Age. Thomas has a great appreciation for the harm that continues to this day from the many lies that have accumulated regarding that pivotal event.

We sat in his office, overlooking his beautiful garden outside of Basel, Switzerland and enjoyed a free ranging conversation. We started with a discussion of the Chartres and Mont Saint-Michel Cathedrals that I had visited last summer and ended with thoughts on my favorite Bible story – the story of Gideon from Judges:6-8.

If you have not watched or listened to my discussions with Thomas earlier in 2018, you can access them here. The first is The Future of Europe and next is An Afternoon in Sofia.

For Let’s Go to the Movies, enjoy the view of Mont Saint-Michel from a drone!

As this is the last week of the month, there is no Money & Markets commentary. You can e-mail or post questions for Ask Catherine for the March 7th Money &arkets here.

  1. Could psychopathy be caused by a physical ailment/environment cause – not emotional damage – like a virus or bacterial infection?

60 minutes recently had a show recently on “FTP” Frontotemporal dementia

The second man – in the report – has no emotional/repercussion understanding/impulse controls. Could what causes FTP range from be mild (general psychopathy) to deadly (FTP) and could there be a biological/environment reason for psychopathy? The plot of a 1984 movie – Impluse with Tim Matheson and Meg Tilly – had the plotline that a toxin in the water/milk destroyed part of the brain that prevented impulsive behavior.

  2. Fascinating stuff.

Where I can learn about the Celtic traditions of Christianity? You mention them with reference to Mary in the early part of the interview when you talk about Chartres but this was completely new to me.

Similarly, are there any good sources where I can find out more about the Templars, not about their associations with freemasonry but rather the aspects you both discussed in the interview and which I had never heard about either?

    Thanks.

Thank Thomas Meyer for his story about President Bush going to the CIA after 9-11 to praise them.

Do you remember the first stop that President Trump made after his inauguration? He paid a visit to the CIA headquarters and in a crowded room he said ” There are too many columns in this room, you need to get rid of a few”.

  4. Love this conversation…

I am looking at Solari on a different machine than the one I usually use, so I can’t tell if it’s the way it is rendering… or if there were some pretty big changes to the way the page looks “logically”.

I think it’s the latter… and it looks WONDERFUL, and seems to make more logical sense.

Anyway… hope you are enjoying your trip, Catherine. I hesitate to say it… (don’t ever move abroad!), but your countenance always seems happier and more “chill” when you are in Europe.

The Mont-Saint-Michel video was also very cool, BTW. I’m sure you are aware of that old movie, “Mindwalk” that is set there, yes?

    Have fun, milady!
