I am praying in response to the story below – 22 vets a day committing suicide in America.

This is way beyond what we have the power and money to do. However, my God is a big god and he can do anything. Anything. So I am praying.

We have vets who need a way back to a healthy and productive life who could be farmers and small business leaders

We have prisoners who need a way back to a healthy and productive life who could be farmers and small business workers (in my mind young people being eaten up by the War on Drugs or the War Machine being conceptually one and the same thing)

We have people in Nashville who want fresh food and have capital

We have churches with land and congregations that will support the effort

We have biodynamic farming communities and institutes who will teach

We have food banks who need food and will rally support

We have the smartest people in the fresh food industry who know what works and what does not

We have great attorneys who can create the legal documents to crowd fund new farms and new distribution channels for fresh food and can protect us in the courts

We have composers who can send out the clarion call and offer a vision of a better way

And we have legislators who understand that the food safety rules are killing small farms and that has to change if we are going to have an economy.

We have taxpayers who are fed up paying corporate farms for food through the food stamps programs who would rather see the money fund business that would address the unemployment problem head on

SO I AM GOING TO SAY A PRAYER THAT GOD SHOWS US OUR OPPORTUNITY IN THIS SITUATION BECAUSE THE CURRENT ORDER OF THINGS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
