I took an online course on driver safety tonight. Here are two quotes from the material:

“Most people do not realize that nationally there are over 42,000 people killed each year in the United States as a result of traffic collisions. This means that someone dies in a traffic collision at a rate of 117 per day, and on an average of once every 12 minutes. Drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs cause approximately 40% of these fatalities. Nationally, over 3 million people are injured each year. The dollar impact on the United States estimated to be $230.6 billion. Individuals driving over the posted speed limit cause approximately 31% of the fatalities.”

“Remember as we focus on crime prevention that vehicle collisions injure and disable and kill more people in the United States than all violent crimes combined. Also, motor vehicle collisions cause more property damage than all property crimes combined.”

Based on this material, I have concluded that Piers Morgan of CNN would take the position that we should:

1. Outlaw alcohol
2. Outlaw any drugs involved
3. Outlaw vehicles

If I were to disagree with him, I assume he would say that I don’t care about the 42,000 people killed and how their families feel.

I support Morgan’s expulsion from the US. Why give residency status to someone who is actively promoting that the government break the law?
