  1. Hullo Catherine — We recently moved out of Charles Schwab (and many Vanguard funds) and transferred our IRA to a local private community bank that has been around since 1904, survived the Great Depression and 1928 stock market collapse. Very conservative. We live in Idaho now (fled from CA). Frankly I just wanted a safe place to put the money (its not much) without worrying about returns (practically non existent). Now with the banking crisis, and the Fed guaranteeing unsecured debt above $250K but only at the failed banks, thereby encouraging large depositors to move their funds to the “too big to fail banks” – where does that leave us? We also have stashed some funds in various places outside the banking system – for emergencies.

However, we see cash being destroyed in Nigeria and ATM’s empty. Mass rioting as well (good for them – I hope they are successful but I doubt it).

It will be easy for the Fed to back door us and one day (soon probably), hey presto, cash will not be legal tender. Social security and all government programs, will become CBDC overnight.

We followed advice that possibly turns out to be unwise. And frankly, we are a bit concerned about the levity surrounding all the criminality. While I understand you and John aren’t clairvoyant, I do think a little less joking around during this crisis that will affect us, the proletariat, who don’t have as many assets as you guys.

    1. Our net worth is not the basis of our levity. Our levity reflects the fact that have been seriously steamrolled by the system and relieved of all our assets in the process, We have learned to laugh instead of go to fear. We are all dealing with significant and life threatening risk. At the same time, it is what my pastor once said, “The devil can steal my house, he can steal my car, but he can not steal my joy.” There are plenty of good places to invest your savings – but all of them have risk. And if there is no law, then nothing is safe.

  2. I continue to be very impressed with Gov. DeSantis’ grasp of the most important issues facing America now! And his solutions make so much sense! The CBDC issue is one of the most important one if we want to continue having freedom and sovereignty.

    1. I continue to get complaints that the headlines are great but if you read the detail in actual bills it is much more tyrannical than you think. I am quite glad he did this on CBDC – will be hero of the week next week. But still going to watch closely.

      1. Where can you get a copy of the actual bill passed on CBDCs? Isn’t this what every state needs to stop “Big Brother”? or Mr. Global?

  3. May he continue to show courage and shine light on the anti-human forces.

  4. Catherine,

I don’t think that people understand the implementation of a federal digital currency. All the propaganda is to confuse the population unfortunately.
But, I am glad you have been discussing CBDC in this platform.

The Fed Reserve will at some point –absorb the liabilities of all banks deposits (from individuals and businesses) — to make us believe that “it will be the solution” to “insolvency in the banking system” instead of saying they will implement a CBDC – since people are so concern about it. But, once they absorb the deposits, they will make all business to share the “detail information of all we buy and how we transact.” Basically, they are creating “fear” to make us accept a new fed reserve backed digital system via the new reset. If we accept that, just like we did with the pandemic mandates – it is the beginning of losing freedoms of mobilization.

Now, during the pandemic, they forced vaccination via “giving free money” (credit card gifts, etc) as incentives. I experienced that at the higher education level, sadly to say. For me, it didn’t seem appropriate “to bribe students” to get a jab. In this case, as people suffer with inflation and lack of money and credit, the Fed Res will give away free digital stimulus $$$ to businesses and individuals for them to get on the new ‘safer’ digital system. They have 2023-24 to finalize it as new elections “might postpone” farther this implementation and people will begin to know more.
Like you said Catherine, this is coming up so fast that people will not be able to assimilate it fully by June-July, not even politicians. Education has been lacking indeed.

Please, —-watch this video, I think he does a good job explaining:

  5. Gov. Ron DeSantis just makes so much sense. He brings clarity to often confusing issues, including CBDCs, in this case. I know some people way smarter than me are skeptical, but I live in the capital city of Florida (historically D-dominated) and this guy has to fight for everything he gets. His approach of talking to the frontline (healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, kids) as well as the “leaders” of industry or science make his reasoning more sound. And the guy rarely uses notes! He speaks from the gut and doesn’t back down, even with the media. Maybe I’m crazy, but I agree with the dentist’s Dad, “Where’s this guy been?”

  6. Thank you for providing the template letter to use with banks. Having received an email today from my bank offering a mortgage loan(you’ve got to be kidding!!!) I selected several appropriate parts of the template and crafted a response to their email.
Hopefully spreading a small bit of awareness to a regional bank in the “great vacuum,” or what you call “inside the plate.”
The ease of plagiarizing motivated me to take action.

  7. I am glad he is bringing up CBDC, most of my friends thought I was talking about CBD oil. lol Until I gave them what I call “The Titus Memo” on CBDC. Now that it is going more “mainstream” I can hand out more Solari reports.
I am worried however about some bills, one that DeSantis passed into law in 2021 and one that he had a chance to reverse. Since I am mom of a vax injured son I usually focus on vax bills first and since our quarantine crappy bill passed here in CA 3yrs ago, I watch for those laws as well.
I am super disappointed at what is happening so far in FL:
    1. SB2006 (gives the state authority to inject/treat/quarantine if an emergency outbreak is called). Last year Rep Sabatini in FL tried to get this law reversed or removed but was crushed by the Republicans.
2.SB7014 enforces the legal immunity FL hospitals have regarding the killer CDC Covid protocols. It extended it from Feb 2022 to June 2023. Awful. I mean DeSantis signed that sucker into law. Sigh. More people being murdered in hospitals. Nightmare.

Until my family can make our move to a better jurisdiction, sadly, we live in CA. 3 yrs ago AB262 (a bill very similar to the bill that DeSantis didn’t reverse in 2021) passed with flying colors. We fought it but you know that the Gavinator is not on our side. AB262 lets Health Official’s “take any action the health officer deems necessary” during a communicable disease or “Imminent and proximate threat” of a communicable disease.
FYI, “Outbreak” is defined in CA and the same at the CDC as THREE people. Yep. An epidemic is SEVEN people. This bill, now law, is not narrowly tailored, it is broad and scary.
Which brings me back to DeSantis keeping the same type of scary law of SB2006. Some of the language gives the state authority to quarantine indefinitely. It also gives authority to the state for treatments or injections. Good Lord.

I don’t see any excuse for the Florida SB7014 except deals made behind closed doors.
On a positive note, There are a couple of bills in the works now in FL that will help I hope: You can look them up, maybe I am reading them wrong. But SB222 would reverse 2006 and give medical freedom back. and SB1487 would reverse and protect from vaccine discrimination.

DeSantis is pushing a bill called SB252 without even mentioning (as far as I could tell) SB222. His bill only seems to give tiny crumbs of freedom compared to the SB222 bill. Things that make you go…Hmmm.

I have a bad feeling that all his freedom talk isn’t being backed up by actions. I am glad he is taking CBDC. Let’s see what actions he takes. Fingers crossed.
I pray I am wrong. I hope his heart is in a good place. So far he has been very disappointing to the parents I know that have fought the bills from earlier.
I can’t wait to hear what Catherine and John have to say in Money and Markets.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
    -Jen

    1. Jennifer:
I am getting the same report on numerous occasion. One provision that gets headlines. But the actual bill is building the train tracks for total control long term.

  8. Just for raising awareness of CBDC and for being against CBDC – this is good.

  9. I am confused at times about DeSantis and his past connection’s to Skull & Bones… but…. just getting MORE people to understand the impacts of CBDC’s is fantastic news to me. The people MUST know about it – to STOP it.

  10. Kristi Noem already vetoed a sneaky CBDC bill in South Dakota. DeSantis is trying to draw attention to this and is asking other governors to follow suit. Not a fan of his cozy connection to establishment donors as they will expect a very high ROI from him. But it’s possible they also see CBDC’s as a threat to them. The Fed will use an AI most likely to run it. And it will (in the end) go after everyone.

    1. I am going to do high octane speculation a la Dr. Farrell here, and suggest that these establishment donors who are pushing back against CBDCs in Florida via DeSantis are headquartered somewhere in Colombia or Mexico, and operate very large global cash based businesses.

      1. Yup. Said on Money & Markets that DeSantis political support was likely mob and Navy.

  11. Cautiously optimistic – could this at least lead to a critical mass of awareness on the CBDC issue?
Also to note, the timing is convenient with DT’s arrest theatre which aimed to put DeSantis in an awkward position.

  12. Inevitably the western central bankers will have to make the argument that adopting CBDCs is a matter of national or bloc security, because if we don’t do it, the chinese / russians will. and i guess by some leap of contrived logic, it will mean china will rule the world.

thank you catherine, john and solari team for everything that you do. no doubt your intelligence and eloquence in explaining this issue has helped to make it a main stream issue.

    1. China’s CBDC is a two-tier system which preserves existing banks, unlike the proposed US CBDC that would be one-tier.
Through “private/corporate” WeChat, China already has pervasive digital payments, transaction tracking and a transaction-level kill switch.
US proposals for CBDC are closer to a state-run WeChat.

      1. Hi Rich! That is right on paper, but you have seen how the China govt has taken over the tech industry in China, even making Alibana Jack Ma, China’s Jeff Bezos equivalent, have to give up company control and retire to Japan. So there is no real separation between private and state within that industry. Or the banking industry for that matter, these are centrally managed within a corporate shell

      2. In case you are interested in what is happening there, here is a video about current China banking controls that work in tandem with digital payment platforms such as Wechat.

The video is not great but it gives you an idea at least of another place where the war on cash is happening.

Not to mention that the social credit score system is well integrated with these platforms already.

  13. I’ll wait for Catherine and John’s analysis on this one – two of the very few I trust anymore. There’s just too many out there these days giving out banking system analysis then trying to sell you gold and silver coins in the next breath. So glad you guys don’t do that.
