Thanks. Haven’t heard back from him yet. As he is a former Risk Management director from US Bank i know he’ll have many questions. So i buried that “niggling doubt” he may have in my approach: a subtle reference to US Bank’s role come July in FedNow, and what happens if they have too much CRE, depositor flight, or otherwise fall out of Janet’s favor (like SVB, et al did). These bigs all think that THEY will not be the next Lehman or Bear Stearns. We’ll miss you (but the zoom offer is great).
As of 11/14/2022 it’s been announced to all listening that the big banks will be instituting a 12 week pilot program using CBDC in scenarios using made up, controlled data. Unfortunately not many people noticed.
