Continuing with our cowboy life theme of the Hero of the Week, this favorite western action-packed TV series is about a family protecting their ranch from corporate land grab. Featuring Kevin Costmer playing the role of John Dutton, this time in beautiful Montana.

Epic show!
The Duttons are the good outlaws, and their enemies are the bad outlaws, and the series is shot in beautiful Montana. Howling wolves, rattlers . . .Great episodes and writing. The show has all the horses, cattle, and cowpokes you could want. The Indian Nation and its Tribal chairman with his able assistant, much like the Duttons – will do what it takes strategically and otherwise to protect their homeland and culture. The modern-day Wild West. But I have to say, that without Beth, it just wouldn’t be the same. Gorgeous Beth Dutton is the heart of the show, only kept in check by her father, John. Nobody is tougher or more reckless than Beth, and certainly not her brother, Jamie. Guess I’m a fan.
No doubt Beth is the fire!
Ann that is a great summary of what Yellowstone is about.
I know this much, the day they write Forrie Smith out of the story, is the day I stop watching Yellowstone, I see now he is the only true cowboy on the set.
After hearing you talk about this show, I was inspired to watch it. I’m hooked! I love it! One of my favourite lines in this season is in the scene with Beth sitting on a park bench in front of the hospital. The young boy on the other bench says “My dad is dying from drugs. What’s killing your dad?” Beth replies: “The twenty first century.” Brilliant!
Yellowstone is a great series and I have not been able to find the vest that Kevin Costner wears in the show because they are flying off the shelves.
I will say that I stopped looking at the Duttons as heroes at the point where John Dutton basically told his son that he wanted to kill the right-wing militia group that attacked them. I have always been about self-defense, never about being the aggressor. At that point, I realized that the Duttons are not necessarily the good guys, they are using the same tactics as their enemies.
So now I see it more as a morality play.
I mean if we all truly believe in the rule of law, well, the Duttons have basically wiped their butts with the rule of law and are now acting above the law.
And then becoming a governor afterwards, well that reminds me of Milton Milan, the former mayor of Camden, New Jersey who prior to becoming mayor had murdered a police officer when he was a drug dealer for La Cosa Nostra.
I am now addicted to 1883. Fabulous cast and well written and waiting for 666. Thanks to Sheridan the writer and producer he is holding on to the Western culture. Lucassie boots are a hot item and the Yellowstone jackets are flying off the shelves.
