  1. I will add some of my own preparations here (and I wonder if we should have a “Forum” topic on this one). Some 15 years ago our group got serious about disaster preparation. Since then the topic receded a bit so some of the following may be slightly out of date. But the ideas may still be good.

    1. James of course has covered all important points already.

      1) Food – 3-month package of ultra-durable food per person

      We have this for each person. Ideally in 2 places, the current home as well as a most likely shelter/refuge in another location.

      2) Water — I live by a lake, so water may not be an issue, but it will most likely not be clean water. Therefore a professional water filter system is paramount.   2. For those of a biblical believing/prophetic word hearing kind, I strongly recommend searching for John Paul Jackson’s “Perfect Storm” & “Headlines” videos on YouTube. Keep in mind he passed away in 2015 and his prophecies are spot on. Just thought I’d share for those interested.

    PS I’ve also lived to witness loss of power for a month + and national guard outside empty grocery stores. People turn to animals VERY quickly
