The situation in Viet Nam looks to be pretty dire and it hurts me to see that the lovely Vietnamese people seem to go from being oppressed by one corrupt government to the next. The Vietnamese resisted the Chinese, they resisted the French and they resisted the Americans but somehow they are acquiescing to the psychopaths. I think it must have something to do with entrainment.
It is not surprising that in the article you mentioned in the last Money & Markets Report that China is now limiting video games to 3 hours per week for anyone under 18.
A friend of mine in Viet Nam has told me that the government’s PR campaign is all about free meals for everyone, but the reality is that party officials either keep everything for themselves or sell the government’s “gift” for big profit. Yes, corruption big time. He also told me that many people are starving, as they have no money, and are not members of the Communist Party. It helps that many families are creative in terms of survival. From the early to mid-seventies they had their “training” or gained experience that most of us in the West lack.
