"Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth." ~ Genesis 11:9

By Catherine Austin Fitts

To borrow a phrase from Dr. Farrell, this one is a "whopper doozy."

In The Tower of Babel Moment: Lore, Language, Leibniz, and Lunacy, Dr. Farrell takes us deep into the Story of Babel from Genesis. Most people know the story. The human race, following the Great Flood, speaks one language. They decide to build a city and a tower tall enough to reach heaven. To stop this effort, God confuses their speech; they can no longer understand each other, and they scatter around the world.

Dr. Farrell draws on references to this event from multiple sources from a variety of cultures. He explores the evidence that all of the languages on Earth may indeed have originated from one source language. Clearly, if the Tower of Babel experience did happen, that fact offers profound insights for how our world really works.

As we watch members of the human race today lose their ability to communicate with one another, one wonders if we are not experiencing a new twist on a very old phenomenon. In The Tower of Babel Moment, Dr. Farrell picks you up, turns you around, and gets you to see your world in a whole new way. Like all of his writings, this is an experience that opens your mind and makes you realize that this world is filled with more possibilities than you have considered.

I finished the book, put it down, and said—out loud—"WOW!" Then, I spent the rest of the evening contemplating what it meant for the road ahead.
