“News is what somebody somewhere wants to suppress; all the rest is advertising.” ~ Lord Northcliffe
By Catherine Austin Fitts
This week Dr. Joseph Farrell joins me for a fascinating review of the first part of our News Trends & Stories for the 2nd Quarter Wrap Up. We cover the long-term trends, the most important economic, financial and geopolitical events of the 2nd Quarter and we update our Trump Administration Report Card.
Make sure to access the News Trends & Stories section of the 2nd Quarter Wrap Up web presentation linked from your subscriber links in this commentary. Our web presentation also includes:

It is reported that Eisenhower threatened to invade Area 51 using the Army if he didn’t get answers. These days what would Trump use to compel the Banksters, Military-Industrial-Complex-Deep State and Breakaway Civilization? Perhaps he thinks it is Public Opinion. What could he possibly say to break the public trance? Because it will take near total public umbrage and disapprobation of our secret rulers to shift the national conversation to restoring the Constitution, civic morality and blunting totalitarianism.
He could give a speech on the missing money and how much health care, infrastructure, pension bailouts and tax reform it could fund.
Yes please!
You could write to him to suggest! And include the new link https://solari.com/blog/dod-and-hud-missing-money-supporting-documentation/
On Joseph’s comment that real education in science, history, etc. is in books: Which books? (As a homeschool mom, I want to be sure to incorporate them!) I have read Gatto’s claim, for example, that science education in this country was deliberately changed and dumbed down in the 1920s due to the Carnegie/Rockefeller influence, and have found clues this is so in a few other places, as well… but what I cannot find is what WAS taught prior to that point, and what should be learned now. What is out there is generally garbage. Would Joseph be willing to provide a starter reading list?
On Joseph’s comment about the article on Chinese students drawing: Andrew Kern, the classical educator and speaker, said a few years back that he regards drawing as one of the pillars of education, for the same reason. There is great discipline in being able to really focus and see reality well enough to draw something extremely well. I had always regarded drawing as an add-on, but that changed my opinion. I’ve never forgotten that.

From Joseph:
Oh wow… that would take me forever to compile a list… but basically, the key to ALL traditional learning is PRIMARY SOURCES and the “classic” secondary sources… so, for physics, for example, read Maxwell, Faraday, Einstein, etc… plus the “classic secondary treatments”, and don’t be afraid to read the people who disagreed with the primary “big names,” Dr. Herbert Ives, for example, an AT&T physicist from the 1920s and 30s, who fought Einstein tooth and nail. In biology, read Darwin, Dobzhansky, Bertelanffy, &c.
No education is complete without music, art, and literature, Euclid, geometry, etc. In effect, it’s the trivium and quadrivium.
One good way to get a handle on how BAD American quackademia really is, is to get ahold of and read the old McGuffey Readers from the 19th century. These are astonishing from several points of view. And foreign language is essential from an early age… no more postponing this until high school.
Recitation and rhetoric are other sadly neglected areas; people do not even know what the rhetorical tropes are any more (although JFK made liberal use of them).
I really don’t know where to begin here because I read so much, and don’t read with a view to teaching children… so My primary advice is:
(1) Primary sources;
(2) The “classic” secondary sources
(3) the trivium and quadrivium

Great Wrap up and conversation.
To tip the hat to Mr. Farrell and yourself. After reading “Common Core Rotten to the Core” and working as a Temp at a Head Start School I was shocked. I have become a big fan of Classical Education not only as a school but also a home school. I would like to recommend The Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. The best is The Well Educated Mind, A Guide to the Classical Education You Never Had. Its all about the Classical way of of learning for all subjects. I learned that the early Founders were self taught and kept reading journals. Good thing is it only takes 20 minutes a day, four days a week. Also the classical books are available at Barnes and Nobles for $5.00.
I want this to be my contribution toward restoring culture.
Take care.
Julia
Bravo!
Thanks for this discussion, love it when you guys chat. Did you see this regarding Walton family selling off Walmart stocks….
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m06EAniLMCw
Maybe they knew about this Amazon/Whole Foods thing a while ago.
Yes – Waltons are diversifying while they can. The squeeze of the german discounters plus Amazon plus the squeeze on the middle class is going to make life more than difficult for them.
For all the Super WalMarts that will close in the future just slap solar panels on the roof and property and convert the indoors to grow vegetables for the local community. It’s a win win, helps with employment, with the environment, cuts down transportation costs and no GMO foods
By the way, has anyone seen a recent picture of Jeff Bezos? He looks like a Mini-terminator. He is all buffed out and ready to do battle with the Waltons.
Lots of stress calls for heavy works outs. Would not surprise me if the CIA was squeezing him in ways that are very hard to manage. Most people want to be successful so they can be free. So when they end up in a vise – a form of billionaire prison – the stress can be vicious.
Always a great interview when you two get together.
Yes, it is overdue, time to dust off the antirtrust laws.
Doing for the Glory of God – Love it.
Interesting discussion… RE: Amazon.
Disclosure… I make my entire income presently on Amazon.com as a 3rd party seller… I found myself bristling when you guys were suggesting Ali Baba supports smaller businesses and Amazon doesn’t. I personally know hundreds of sellers (in a private group of around 9000 people… a hundred or so I know personally at least as an acquaintance). My own business… and the businesses of 100’s of thousands of American Amazon sellers are by their very nature small businesses that have a substantive positive impact on local economies.
It IS a fast moving target… and the worst thing that has happened on Amazon has been the opening of the Amazon Seller Central platform to private sellers in China (PRC). Ali Baba is a virtual carnival of dishonest sellers and infringer on Intellectual Property (IP) rights. The Chinese, culturally, have very strange ideas about patents, trademarks and IP. Almost like if they CAN re-produce a protected product exactly, reaching a high quality standard on ripped off knock offs makes stealing IP okay.
I personally know hundreds of sellers (in a private group of around 9000 people… a hundred or so I know personally at least as an acquaintance). My own business… and the businesses of 100’s of thousands of American Amazon sellers are by their very nature small businesses that have a substantive positive impact on local economies.
That is an oversimplification, of course… but I have been saying now for about 6 or 7 years that “ANY business that does not take advantage of the internet as a part of their LOCAL business presence, will struggle or go out of business in the next 5 years.” Many of those folks are gone… and a lot more than I thought have hung in there… largely because Facebook has become a defacto web presence for many small local businesses… and is cheap and they know how to use it.
Anyway… if I could get anything I wanted from the .gov regards e-commerce, it would be a higher bar to entry for chinese e-commerce startups in the U.S. via very stringent monitoring and enforcement of Intellectual Property, and a stronger vetting of Chinese sellers in the American market. Of course… lots of self interest reflected in my above remarks. Amazon IS a problem… and between Amazon’s data and IT businesses, consumer retail… and then all of Googles big data muscles… once small slip over to full collusion with the government on private data and we are looking at full spectrum corporate dominance of the West… of the type in that old Sci Fi novel “Snowcrash”
P.S. Catherine… I goofed up an edit in the above post… it’s LATE here… 🙂
feel free to edit
David:
Excellent comments. I very much appreciate them.
The slip over to full collusion with the government IMO occurred long ago and was made into an economic tornado with bulk acquisition.
Catherine
You are most certainly correct, Catherine…
So far… the facade of the Matrix hasn’t COMPLETELY dropped yet… and the cattle truck hasn’t screeched up to my home… yet. (I’m not a threat, of course… and don’t believe in violence as a solution to anything… so guys… keep that in mind… don’t waste resources on me… I’m an analyzer, and that is all 🙂 )
But everything is in place already for a societal control mechanism that appears and behaves just like the INGSOC Party of Oceania, with the flip of the switch and some willing dumb boots on the ground.
Guns, veterans of the military, and an increasing population of Red Pill takers will be a problem… and probably requires TPTB to rely on AI, and advanced logic programming, without the elites somehow losing control of what they fund and create in AI/robotics as the means to tighten control.
…and then… they have a God problem. If enough of the population realizes that The Creation/Creator will hew directly to what folks create as their reality… and then you throw in the Grace wildcard… their plans are kaput.
Pride, ego and hubris conceal fallacy of perception in human vision.
Yes, ultimately, they will fail. It is fight to the death, so they will likely do lots of damage as they die.
Who exactly has dual citizenship? For instance Bernie claims it isn’t true. Thank you
Debra:
I only know the various public reports – some are mentioned under individual write ups at wikipedia. Seems like the best way to corroborate is to identify whether or not your Congressman has a conflict is to ask them. Do they hold more than one citizenship? Have them made pledges to AIPAC or any other lobbying groups or PACs and what are they?
